The latest explosive trailer for Disney+’s Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story has been released ahead of Wednesday’s airing.

In the shocking teaser, Coleen, 37, is seen tearfully revealing details of her investigation into her fellow VAG and revealing the secrets of her hunt for the truth about who leaked details of her life to The Sun newspaper.

In the clip, Coleen is seen revealing that the saga, which began with a tweet on October 9, 2019, is “constantly on her mind”, before issuing a warning to Jamie Vardy’s wife: “Don’t play with a girl who can he better play’.

Colleen’s husband Wayne appears in the trailer, along with Piers Morgan and Colleen’s mother Colette and her friends, who shed light on the pain of the drama.

The trailer also showed footage of both women arriving at the High Court last year with their husbands on their arms, while other footage showed crowds chanting “Your wife is weed” as Jamie hit the pitch in the middle of the case.

Coleen was asked: ‘Do you still have the post on your phone?’, to which she replied: ‘Yes, yes, yes. I’m sticking with them’, before the footage cuts to images of the duo entering the court to the sound of a news report.

The reporter read: ‘Vagatha Christie starts in the High Court today, with VAG colleagues and former friends embroiled in a bitter row.’

Coleen said: “Someone on my personal account has been informing The Sun newspaper about my private posts and stories – I thought I’d do something about it.”

Showing Coleen hard at work, she was seen uploading pages including pictures of her family – which includes Wayne, 37, and their children Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Keith, seven, and Cass, five – and other posts from private pages.

One of the film’s commentators said: ‘This is a detective story – you can never find someone responsible with a gun in their hand’.

Colin detailed: “I needed evidence, I needed to set a trap,” before later admitting: “I never imagined being in a legal battle.” The camera crew joined her in the car, where she pointed out that she was being followed by paparazzi.

Shedding further light on the intricacies of the situation – and revealing the message Rebecca famously sent her, Coleen said: ‘I had a message from Rebecca to say what this is and I said you know what it is. It was constantly on my mind’.

She revealed that her father had told her: ‘It’s just not you anymore’.

In his first comment on the situation, Wayne told the camera: ‘I just thought what she’s doing here, while smiling incredulously.’

Ahead of the release, Rebecca added fuel to her bitter legal battle with Coleen Rooney by allegedly applying to trademark the name ‘Vagatha’.

The media personality, 41, registered the term Vagata Christi six months ago, referring to the vicious showdown between the two VAGs.

Rebecca took Coleen to the High Court for defamation – and lost – after Coleen claimed in October 2019 that stories about her had been leaked to the press from Rebecca’s social media account.

From September 2017 to October 2019 – The Sun publishes a number of false articles about Coleen, which she claimed she only shared with Vardy in a ‘sting’ operation, including that she traveled to Mexico to investigate ‘sex selection’ treatment for babies, her plan to revive her TV career and the flooding of her basement.

October 9, 2019 – Colin uses social media to accuse Rebecca of selling stories to the tabloids from her private Instagram account. That prompts #VagathaChristie to start trending.

February 13, 2020 – In a tearful appearance on ITV’s Loose Women, Rebecca says the stress of the row led to severe anxiety attacks and ‘ended up in hospital three times’.

June 23, 2020 – It turns out that Rebecca has filed a defamation case against Colleen.

19-20. november 2020 – The defamation battle has its first hearing at the High Court in London. The judge ruled that Colleen’s October 2019 post “clearly identified” Rebecca as “guilty of a serious and consistent breach of trust”.

Mr Justice Warby concluded that the “natural and ordinary” meaning of the posts was that Rebecca “regularly and frequently abused her status as a trusted follower of Coleen’s personal Instagram account by secretly informing The Sun of Coleen’s private posts and stories”.

8-9. February 2022 – A series of explosive messages between Rebecca and her agent Caroline Watt – which Coleen’s lawyers claim were about her – were revealed at a preliminary court hearing.

Coleen’s lawyers are seeking further information from the WhatsApp messages, but the court was told Ms Watt’s phone fell into the North Sea after the boat she was on hit a wave, before any further information could be extracted from it.

February 14 – Coleen was denied permission to bring a High Court action against Mrs Watt for misuse of private information to be heard alongside the defamation battle. High Court judge Ms Steyn says the bid was made too late and earlier opportunities to file a claim were not taken.

April 13 – Ms Watt is not fit to give oral evidence at the upcoming defamation trial, the High Court was told, as the case returns for a new hearing.

May 10 onwards – The trial is ongoing.

July 29 – Rebecca loses her defamation case against Colleen, with a judge ruling that the accusation against her is ‘substantially true’.
