Coleen Rooney shares adorable snap of her sons on their first day back at school as she leads the stars marking the end of the summer holidays

Coleen Rooney’s children were among the pupils returning to school this week after the summer holidays.

The wife of 38-year-old former England footballer Wayne Rooney shared a sweet snap with her followers on Instagram on Friday of her children getting ready for their first day of school.

In the photo, Kit (8), Kai (14), Klay (10) and Cass (5) pose in their school uniforms as they get ready to go back to school.

She captioned the sweet snap: ‘My gang (love heart emojis)…. Year 10…7…4…2 Wishing everyone a great school year 2024/2025’

Stars including Stacey Solomon, Peter Andre, Helen Flanagan, Rochelle Humes and Lucy Mecklenburgh also waved goodbye to their little ones this week as school reopened after the summer holidays.

Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan, 34, has three children: Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and three-year-old Charlie, with her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, 35.

The actress also posted an adorable snap of her youngest daughter, Delilah, after her first day of second grade.

Helen wrote: ‘My beloved second year was worried about her today.’

Presenter Rochelle Humes, 35, shares Alaia, 11, Valentina, 7, and Blake, 3, with her husband, Marvin Humes, 39.

The TV star shared a cute snap of her and her daughter’s feet with the caption: “A lovely morning for Valle at her new big school.”

Rochelle also shared a photo of her eldest daughter Alaia, 10, who is returning to school for the first time in seventh grade.

The proud mom wrote: ‘Alaia’s first day of high school today, a big year 7!’

She added: ‘It’s all going SO fast, Valle’s first class today is games and she is SO excited about that (hence the gym clothes).’

TV personality Stacey also jumped on the bandwagon, sharing a snap of herself holding her four-year-old son Rex, who she shares with husband Joe Swash, ahead of his first day of school.

The mother of five wrote in the post: ‘Happy Tuesday. Early up, early out and back to school.’

Peter Andre, 51, and his wife Emily shared an adorable video on Instagram of them checking to make sure their two children, Theo and Amelia, were ready for their first day.

The proud parents, who also welcomed their youngest Arabella earlier this year, were spotted packing lunchboxes, tending to their children’s hair and organising their school bags.
