She added: ‘I’m quite a focused person and so I hope I’ll be someone who says, ‘Come on, let’s fight our way through this.’
Coleen also revealed how she has been asked to appear on the show several times and finally said yes this year because her children are old enough.
Ahead of her appearance, she said: “Over the years several things have happened in my life and my children were also very young.’
Coleen also spoke about her ‘supportive’ husband Wayne’s feelings about her taking part in the show, insisting he is ‘fine’ with her spending time away.
She said:Wayne supports him, he thinks it’s all fine. If he had the time, he would try.”
The confirmation of Coleen’s jungle appearance comes just as she opened up about her marital problems on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast on Monday: ‘Wayne and I are a team. We helped each other through life.
‘We are good at seeing the best outcome, instead of the worst. Hopefully it will stay that way for the rest and it will be a beautiful and smooth marriage. I don’t know if you can get one.’

Coleen, who admitted she was keen to leave her four sons behind, shared the huge list of instructions she has left behind for those who care for her children.
The mother of four said in a new Instagram video that a “village” would care for her boys during the time she was away.
Coleen shares her children, Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five, with her husband and former professional footballer Wayne.
She did not name her husband Wayne, who lives far from the family home, as manager of Championship side Plymouth Argyle.
Coleen unveiled two huge whiteboards in her dining room and revealed she had covered them ‘on both sides’ with her children’s diaries.
Speaking to camera, Coleen said: ‘I’m very scared of leaving the kids, that’s my biggest thing, I’ve been thinking about that for weeks and months.
‘But I’ve come to terms with it and I’ve planned and prepared for it, I’ve got an army of people – family and friends – school friends all helping with the kids. They’re doing well, probably having a great time.
‘I have, as you can see, behind me, that is literally four weeks in front and behind, preparing the timetables, football matches, parties and so on.’
Revealing the sweet note she left for them at home, she said: “Before I wrote them all a card when they got home from school tomorrow, and each a little cuddle, so they know I’m thinking of them all the time.”
Elsewhere in the clip, Coleen said: ‘Hello everyone, this seems so weird because I never come on here and make videos like this. But I just wanted to say something, I’m in my pajamas – the kids are in bed and their bags and uniforms are ready, I’m taking them to school tomorrow and then I’m going to the airport.
“Many of you may have heard and there has been a lot of speculation, but I can confirm that I am going into the jungle.”
“They’ve been asking me for so many years but I’ve always said no because the kids are so young, but this year I thought, you know what, I’m quite looking forward to it.

‘I know a few past friends who have been there and said they had a great time, so I hope I’ll say the same! Goodbye.’
