Coleen Rooney is seen for the first time since ‘signing record-breaking I’m A Celebrity deal’ as she heads to the garage in Cheshire

Coleen Rooney is making her first appearance since it was announced she will be taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity after landing the biggest deal in the show’s history.

However, the 38-year-old WAG found herself in more familiar surroundings than the Jungle on Sunday as she headed to the petrol station in Cheshire.

She looked calm and content during the outing, as she snuck into the M&S garage to pick up a few essentials after filling up her Mercedes.

She was dressed casually for the outing in a black tracksuit and mules.

The outing takes place in the hope that Coleen will spill the beans on her epic feud with Rebekah Vardy when she appears on the reality show.

It’s also thought Coleen will get the ‘ultimate revenge’ by signing on, with Rebekah booted early in the 2017 series.

In a new blow, it’s said to be a mega payday for Coleen, who is said to have received a fee higher than Nigel Farage’s £1.5million last year.

It comes as Rebekah was this week ordered to pay Coleen a further £100,000 after losing their legal costs battle in the so-called Wagatha Christie case.

According to The sun on Sunday, Coleen is expected to fly out in November to take part in the show of which her four boys are said to be big fans

A source said: ‘I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup in landing Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board.

‘She has always been a big fan of the show and enjoys watching it with her boys. ITV is thrilled that the stars have aligned this year and they can fit it in. The series will be one of the best yet.

‘Coleen has a huge fan base and she received much praise for her stylish handling of the Wagatha Christie case.’

The pair became the center of a huge storm in 2019 when Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking stories about her to the press.

Rebekah went on to sue Coleen for defamation over the claim, but it was Coleen who prevailed when a judge declared her claim to be “substantially true” in 2022.

Rebekah was later ordered to pay 90 per cent of 38-year-old Coleen’s fees, with an initial payment of £800,000, but has disputed the claimed £1.8 million costs.

At the end of the latest hearing, which started on Monday, senior costs judge Andrew Gordon-Saker has now told Rebekah to pay an additional £100,000 within 21 days.

He said: ‘I think there is some scope for further payment in advance so that the defendant (Ms Rooney) is not left out of her costs, and I think this should not be more than £100,000.’

The hearing, which neither woman attended, dealt with several preliminary issues before a full ‘line by line’ assessment of costs takes place at a later date, which will decide the total amount to be paid.

Judge Gordon-Saker said this could happen in early 2025, but added: “The parties need to get on with this and put it behind them.”

He said: ‘Realistically it (the line-by-line assessment) will probably be next year, hopefully early next year.’

In 2019, Coleen publicly claimed that Ms Vardy’s account was the source behind three stories in the Sun newspaper containing false details that she had posted on her private Instagram profile.

These related to her trip to Mexico for a “gender selection” procedure, plans to return to television and the flooding of the basement at her home.

Following the high-profile trial, Ms Steyn ruled in Coleen’s favor in July 2022, ruling that the post was ‘substantially true’.

The judge said it was ‘likely’ that Rebekah’s agent Caroline Watt had passed information to the newspaper. and that the Leicester star’s wife ‘knew and condoned this behaviour’.

At the latest hearing, Rebekah’s representative Jamie Carpenter KC said in written submissions that Coleen’s claimed legal bill was £1,833,906.89, which was more than three times her ‘agreed costs budget of £540,779.07’.

He said the bill was ‘prepared without due care’ and ‘had a ‘kitchen sink’ approach’, and contained ‘more than £120,000 in charges to which Ms Rooney is not entitled’.

But Robin Dunne, on behalf of Coleen, said in his written submissions that Ms Vardy had shown “deplorable conduct” in the case and that the costs could have been lower if “she had conducted this litigation properly”.

He added: ‘It is wrong for Ms Vardy to now claim that Ms Rooney’s costs, many of which were directly caused by her conduct, are unreasonable.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for ITV and Coleen Rooney for comment.
