Coleen Rooney has spoken candidly about her long-distance relationship with husband Wayne after he moved to Devon to take over as manager of Plymouth.
The 38-year-old former footballer moved south last summer to start work, but despite Coleen, also 38, considering a move, he decided to stay in Cheshire.
Speaking to the Sunday MirrorColeen revealed that while Devon ‘seems far away’, it is much ‘easier to get to than Washington DC’ – following Wayne’s post at DC United last summer.
“We see him a couple of times a week, which is good,” she said. “He’s been to America, so this is a bonus because even though it seems far away, it’s easier to get to than Washington, DC.
‘We FaceTime a lot and he always calls when we leave the house in the morning.’

Coleen admitted she considered moving to Devon with Wayne, but ultimately decided against it due to the ages of their four sons, all of whom are under 15.
She said her eldest Kai is starting his GCSE exams this year and his football career is going well, while her other sons are already at school, so she felt it was unfair to move them.
Wayne took over as manager of Major League Soccer team, DC United, last year, but it was previously revealed that Coleen had previously told friends that she hate America and wouldn’t move there.
A source close to Coleen told MailOnline at the time: ‘She’s made her views clear to Wayne. There’s no way she wants to go to Washington. She absolutely hated it there last time.
‘She doesn’t want to live outside the North West of England, let alone back in Washington. The family are more settled than ever. They have four children who are all in school and all of Coleen’s relatives live close to her.’
The source added: “There’s no way she would want to give all that up to live in a place she hates.”
Wayne joined Plymouth four months after being sacked by Birmingham City.
Since then he has taken on a variety of roles, including a role as a commentator for the BBC for Euro 2024 and appearing in podcasts in which he delves deeper into his past.

In May, Rooney and his wife Coleen began eyeing properties in and around the posh Devon resort of Salcombe in preparation for his next adventure, with rumours circulating that she too would be moving.
Salcombe is located east of Plymouth and the former striker can travel there in less than an hour, to Home Park Stadium.
Coleen has been married to footballer and now manager Wayne since 2008. They started dating six years ago.
The couple are estimated to be worth around £130 million together.
The couple have four children, all boys, with their eldest son Kai following in Wayne’s footsteps. He currently plays for Manchester United’s junior division, where Wayne spent most of his career.
Following Coleen’s candid admission, Wayne returned to Old Trafford earlier this month and donned the iconic Red Devils 10 shirt for the first time in seven years when he took part in a charity match against Celtic with Manchester United.
As he went back in time and scored a stunning goal from 30 yards, he was cheered on from the stands by his devoted wife and four children.

Coleen quickly grabbed the Netflix star for a photo, which saw her posing with Emmett and her mother Colette McLoughlin.
Coleen, 38, wore a leopard print sweater and looked effortlessly chic in relaxed jeans and chunky gold jewellery.
The TV personality completed the look with subtle black heels and wore a black jacket over one arm.
The couple’s children, Kai (14), Klay (11), Kit (8) and Cass (5), wore the jerseys of their father’s former team and the Wagatha Christie star looked overjoyed as she watched her son’s vocal celebration.
