Coleen Rooney finally reunites with Wayne as they enjoy romantic date night in Manchester after her month-long stint in Australia

Wayne and Coleen Rooney enjoyed a festive date night on Monday after finally reuniting following her appearance on I’m A Celeb.

Coleen shared a photo of the beaming couple cozying up in front of some Christmas lights.

The couple enjoyed some time away from their four sons as they shopped for festive gifts, with Coleen tagging the selfie, taken by Wayne, as Manchester Christmas Markets.

Wayne finally returned home to Cheshire on Monday, five days after his wife landed in Britain after spending a month in Australia on I’m A Celebrity.

The football manager, 39, was not at Manchester airport to meet his wife when she landed on December 11 with their two youngest sons Kit, eight, and Cass, six.

Instead, Wayne has been working at Plymouth, where he is the manager of Championship side, Plymouth Argyle Football Club.

While Coleen spent the week adjusting to life at home, Wayne was hundreds of miles away ‘fighting to keep his job’ as head coach of Plymouth Argyle, where he was expected to earn £500,000 a year.

But with rumors swirling that Wayne’s job is on the line, he was not considering a possible sacking by Plymouth and insists he is focused on improving the squad in January.

The team has dropped to second place in the table after a run of just one win in 10 games. The sad return has increased pressure on the former Manchester United and England star, who took over at Home Park this summer.

Wayne retains the backing of the Plymouth board and was publicly endorsed by chairman Simon Hallett earlier this month.

He has claimed to embrace the pressure he is under and revealed his focus is on winter transfer targets to strengthen his squad.

‘There are always honest conversations between myself, Neil (Dewsnip, director of football), Andrew (Parkinson, CEO, Simon – whoever that is – about how we can improve, and from a recruitment point of view what players we can bring in to help, which players do we need, which players do we need to get out.

“These are all conversations that are ongoing, so come January we will be in the best possible position to get what we need. Getting the injured players back will be like a new signing for us, but we all know: we have no illusions, we have to improve the team, that is visible to everyone.

“We are working very hard to put ourselves in the best position to do that as early as possible.”

Last week, Coleen returned to normality, taking sons Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit and Cass to school.

Coleen reminisced about her whirlwind jungle experience and posted the photo taken shortly after her departure.

Earlier today, Coleen shared a new video on social media after landing in Britain from Australia.

The I’m A Celebrity star broke her silence after flying home following her incredible success story on the grueling ITV reality show.

Coleen, who finished in second place, addressed her fans in the clip and thanked viewers for all their votes and support that led her to the final.

The TV sensation admitted she is having to “get used to” posting videos to her page as she hinted she will be online more in the future.

She said, ‘Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. I’m back in Britain. I’m a bit jet lagged.

“The kids are in school and I just wanted to say, wow, wow, wow, I’m so overwhelmed by the love, support, generosity and positivity that you all have shown while I was in the jungle and since I’ve been here. out.

‘I can’t thank you enough for your messages, your comments and I’m so glad you all enjoyed the show this year. I want to thank everyone who voted for me and stuck with me until the end because I got the full jungle experience. I can’t thank you enough for that. I absolutely loved it.

‘Don’t get me wrong, it was difficult. It was really difficult. But with your love and support and the love and support of the love and support and friendship of my 11 campmates, you all helped me get through it and I am so grateful for that.

‘What a year to be involved with I’m A Celeb, what a camp. We are friends for life. Our group chat we created hasn’t stopped, we’ve all been saying how jet lagged we are this morning and me and Alan have been on a school trip.

‘Some of us have looked back at the trials and it’s been a joy to be part of it and we’re going to enjoy Christmas and I hope you all enjoy Christmas and then in the new year we get together and have a reunion.

‘What I loved about it is that everyone watched it as a family and it brought love, laughter and tears into the households, everyone experienced it together and we experienced it together as a camp.

‘But I just had to get on with it, I got to get used to making these videos – I actually feel like I’m in the BT (Bush Telegraph). But yeah, I just love you all. And I can’t thank you enough. Merry Christmas and I’ll be back here soon.’
