Coleen Nolan’s son Jake Roche made a heartbreaking confession this week, revealing that he lives on benefits and in his mother’s garage.
The former actor turned Rixton singer, 30, spoke about his life and recent struggles during an interview with Sugapuff posted on TikTok on Monday.
‘I have Universal Credit and I live with my mother in her garage. I’m a failure,” Jake said after being asked what he’s been up to lately.

“First I want to say you are not a failure,” Sugapuff replied sweetly.
“Everyone goes through hardships in life and you will get through yours,” he added.
Jake replied, “Thank you, you’re a legend.”

With Universal Credit, most users over 25 earn £334.91 per month.
Jake had great success in show business after appearing on Emmerdale in 2010, portraying the role of Isaac Nuttall.
He is a member and vocalist of the band Rixton, known for hits such as Me and My Broken Heart and Hotel Ceiling.
He is the son of Loose Women star Coleen, 57, and EastEnders actor Shane Richie, whose real name is Shane Roche, 58.

Jake was in a high-profile relationship with Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson, 31, and soon became engaged, but their split was confirmed in January 2017.
That same year, Jesy told radio station Z100 about the pain of a breakup when she promoted her single Shout Out to My Ex.
“If you break up with someone, it’s terrible. Isn’t it one of the worst pains? It’s terrible and we all need a sad song to make you cry.
“However, at the end of the day, you need something that makes you feel empowered… that makes you think, ‘You know what I don’t need you anymore. I’m going out with my girls and I’m getting over you, ’cause I do not need you.” And that’s exactly what Shout Out To My Ex does.’
