Coleen Nolan has admitted she thinks her ex-husband Shane Richie’s new storyline in EastEnders is “ridiculous.”
The TV host, 57, wasn’t shy about expressing her views on Shane’s character Alfie Moon (Shane) returning to Walford, where he has vowed to win back Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) for her marriage to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). ).
Speaking on Tuesday Loose Women, Coleen was asked by her fellow panelist Katie Piper, “Don’t you think Kat and Phil are a great couple?”

“Well, he’s gone now that he’s got Kat,” Katie said, making Coleen laugh.
Shane was last in EastEnders in 2019 and is now back as he tries to win Kat back from Phil.
On returning to the soap, Shane said: ‘It is an absolute honor and privilege to be asked to return to my TV home, Albert Square.

Shane also discussed his return during an interview with The Mirror, saying, “We sat down and he said, ‘Listen, I’m thinking about bringing Alfie back'” and I said really?
“Then he sold it to me and said we want the old Alfie because there have been all very different Alfies over the years, and my favorite Alfie is from 2002 to 2005, look it up. That’s the Alfie we have back.”
He continued: “So Chris [Clenshaw] was so instrumental, for telling the long-term storyline with Alfie and It’s Old Alfie.
