Coleen Nolan has revealed she has split from her partner of three years, Michael Jones.
The Loose Women star, 59, started dating the supermarket logistics worker in 2021 after meeting on Tinder, with the pair embarking on an on-again, off-again relationship during which she dumped him three times.
However, in a heartbreaking update on her love life, Coleen opened up about how the couple have decided to part ways for good and remain friends, as she revealed the reason behind the breakup.
She told me OK! Magazine : ‘We decided that we would rather just remain friends, treat it as a friendship. And you know, it has nothing to do with anyone else, it’s no one’s fault.
‘But I’m very busy and when I’m not really busy with work, I’m busy on the farm and I personally feel like I can’t take the time to do everything. We still get along great and hopefully we can stay friends, who knows?’
Coleen’s choice to remain friends with Michael stems from her close friendships with her ex-husbands Shane Richie and Ray Fensome, with Coleen noting that this attitude comes with “age and experience.”

In a heartbreaking update on her love life, Coleen opened up about how the couple have decided to part ways for good and remain friends, as she revealed the reason behind the break-up.
The singer noted that as she turns 60 next year, she doesn’t have “time” to wait to see “what happens” in a relationship, as she may have done in her twenties, noting that “life is too is short’.
When she broke up, she added; ‘I’m not going to say it wasn’t sad, because of course it was. But I really hope that once that sadness goes away, we can remain friends. I don’t regret it, it was fantastic. Michael came at just the right time for me and I think we have helped each other grow over the last three and a half years.”
Reflecting on her love life, the TV personality shared how she always chose to focus on “the times that were great” and not the “sad ending,” recalling that despite that, the last two years of both her marriages were ‘terrible’, she won’t forget the ‘fantastic’ 10 years she had before.
Despite the heartbreak of her divorce, Coleen is looking ahead and focusing on running her dream farm, which she shares with daughter Ciara Fensome and Ciara’s fiancé Max, with Coleen saying the farm is her ‘happy place’.
Earlier this year, Coleen had hinted at a possible engagement to Michael after admitting she’s ‘obsessed’ with looking at diamond rings as she showed fans a typical afternoon after hosting Loose women.
The TV personality, who had recently moved in with her partner, shared a clip on her Instagram page, explaining in the caption: ‘What I do after work while in London xxx.’
In the insightful video, the former singer gave her followers a glimpse into her retail therapy as she browsed Westfield in West London – admitting she got lost the last time she visited the huge shopping centre.
After searching a few stores, Coleen couldn’t get past a beautiful display of jewelry. She stopped to admire a stack of shiny rings as she said to the camera, “Come here.” I’m not saying I’m engaged or married, but if I were, I’m obsessed with looking at diamond rings. They’re a bit expensive.’

The Loose Women star couldn’t resist the beauty and cheekily said ‘I’m not going in’ as he entered the store.
Yet the TV sensation later insisted she would not marry Michael unless he signed a prenuptial agreement.
Coleen opened up to Kaye Adams on her podcast, saying: “I think Michael would love to get married at some point. If it meant a lot to him I might, but I’d make him sign a big damn piece of paper before I did that because I’m not going to go through that again.
‘I looked at it. 100 percent. From there it is sorted and it is a reference point; no one thinks they’re going to break up.”
She continued, “I’ve always been against prenuptial agreements because I find them very unromantic and it seems like you’re going into them by saying, ‘Well, it probably won’t work, so sign this.’
‘Hopefully it will work out and we will never have to look at that piece of paper again, but I never want to experience what I experienced during my last divorce. While I didn’t hate Ray, there were times when I thought, “Oh my God, this is so unfair.”

As she prepared to move in with Michael, Coleen admitted that she had previously pushed Michael away, after being hurt in the past when ex-husband Shane cheated on her.
She told me The mirror: ‘I may be getting engaged, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to walk down the aisle.
I know Michael wants to marry me and to be honest, that’s probably out of insecurity because I’ve been in relationships with him three times since I met him.
‘It was all my problems, because of what I had been through, so I pushed him away because I didn’t think I could deal with it. I’ve had therapy, I’ve gotten my life together and I’m very open to whatever he offers me emotionally, and it’s fantastic. So let’s not try to fix something that isn’t broken.’
She was married to EastEnders star Shane for nine years between 1990 and 1999. He is the father of her two sons, Jake Roche and Shane Roche Jr.
