Coleen Nolan has been living with her daughter’s reality TV star boyfriend for over a year now

Coleen Nolan has been living with reality TV winner Orlagh Hartnett for over a year – whom she playfully refers to as “the daughter I never wanted.”

The TV personality, 58, opened the doors of her Cheshire home to Orlagh after becoming estranged from her own mother last April.

Orlagh, 21, who has just been crowned the winner of E4’s Fred’s Last Resort, has been friends with Coleen’s daughter Ciara since she was seven.

Speak against The sunOrlagh quipped, “Honestly, my birthday card is Orlagh, the daughter I never wanted!”

She continued, “My mom had a lot of kids, so she couldn’t give me much attention, so I went to Coleen’s house.

‘I grew up in a family of eight children – six girls, two boys, so you can imagine chaos!’

She explained how she had lived with her mother and stepfather until she was 16 when she moved in with her father.

But after her mother moved out last April, she has had “no contact” with her, she said.

“As awful and distressing as the situation is, I have to pull myself together every day and get on with living and getting what I want.

“The support Coleen has given me is… honestly, I don’t know what I would do without her,” she said.

After winning the show – hosted by First Date’s Fred Siriex – Orlagh has now won £10,000 in prize money.

But Orlagh decided to keep her friendship with Coleen a secret because she didn’t want to be accused of “taking advantage” of their relationship, she said.

Orlagh said, “I didn’t tell anyone on the show who she was or who I lived with.” Then when the recruits came to my house I thought ‘this is Coleen and I live with her’.

Coleen shares daughter Ciara, 22, with Ray Fensome.

Coleen was also previously married to actor Shane Ritchie and shares sons, Shane Nolan, 34, and Jake Roche, 30, with the TV personality.

It comes after Coleen candidly admitted that her ex-husband Shane was “so traumatized” after watching her give birth that it affected their sex life.

The TV personality discussed “birth trauma” with Christine Lampard, Kelle Bryan and Jane Moore on Loose Women on Wednesday.

Coleen was married to actor Shane from 1990 before they split in 1997, sharing two sons. She later tied the knot with Ray Fensome in 2005, but they divorced in 2018.

She said, “Shane, funnily enough, when Shane Jr was born he was traumatized – bless him!

“Because I see pain because I think men feel very helpless when they can’t do anything but see the birth.”

She continued with her typical humor: “So it hit us afterwards – you know what I mean…

“It kind of hit us afterwards because every time we went to – you know what I’m saying – he was traumatized because all he could see when he was – you know what I’m saying – was a baby head!”

She received much applause and laughter when she added, “Sometimes I wish we weren’t on TV during the day!”

The singer went on to talk about her sister Anne’s struggles during childbirth and revealed that she suffered from eclampsia (fits) before birth.

Anne was given a 30 percent chance of survival and her organs started to shut down — but thankfully, both mom and baby Amy eventually made up.

She said, “She was the first of all of us to get pregnant and we were all so excited.”

But she said it ended up being “really, really traumatic” and turned what should have been a “beautiful moment.”

She added that Anne was not the only sibling with birth trauma, as her late sister Bernie – who passed away in 2013 – had to give birth despite already knowing her baby had died.

The famous sisters – Anne, 71, Denise, 69, Maureen, 67, Linda, 64, and Coleen, 57, and Bernie – sang together in family pop group The Nolans in the ’70s and ’80s.
