Chelsea striker Cole Palmer set a Premier League record with his dazzling performance against Brighton.
The England international has made a fantastic start to the season for the Blues and his first-half performance against Brighton confirmed that.
Chelsea even fell a goal behind after Georginio Rutter gave the Seagulls the lead within ten minutes.
But that’s when the Cole Palmer show begins, tying the score after 21 minutes.
That marked the start of a 10-minute hat-trick for Palmer and he would have his fourth before the first half was over.

His four goals capped a dazzling first-half display from the Chelsea man
In fact, it made the former Manchester City man the first player to score four goals in a Premier League match before half-time.
Palmer converted a penalty to make it 2-1 to Chelsea, before a stunning free-kick completed his hat-trick.
His finish at the near post after Chelsea made a poor attempt to play out from the back sealed his record-setting moment.
His stunning free-kick to complete his hat-trick was the highlight of the bunch
Palmer’s fourth came at the perfect time as Brighton had just pulled themselves back into the match after Carlos Baleba had scored following a Robert Sánchez error.
It may have come as a shock to some, but Palmer actually predicted he would score four before the season started.
During the Premier League media day, he was asked to count to three on his fingers to indicate his hat-trick.
He then asked videographers if he could post four in case he scored as many.
That’s the kind of confidence that has made the 22-year-old such a force since his move to Stamford Bridge.
But surely even he could not have imagined in his wildest dreams that he would have scored four before the half-time whistle had blown.
