Fans have finally learned exactly what happened between Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe at the Love Island reunion after their fiery row was cut from the show.

During Sunday’s episode a snippet of the pair arguing over fellow Islander Josh Le Grove was shown, but it was condensed to just a few seconds that was cut off abruptly by co-host Darren Harriott.

As viewers took to Twitter in their droves to express their frustration, with Summer herself penning ‘of course they edited it,’ an audience member from the pre-recorded show has now shared her account of what happened.

Drama: Fans have finally learned exactly what happened between Coco Lodge (right) and Summer Botwe at the Love Island reunion after their fiery row was cut from the show

It had already been reported that tensions were rife between the pair after Coco appeared on the Saving Grace podcast, where she described Summer’s love interest Josh as ‘so fit’ and implied the pair nearly slept together after being dumped from the villa.

A TikTok user by the name of Livevee shared a clip on Sunday detailing her memory of the incident, saying: ‘The Saving Grace podcast was directly mentioned. Summer addressed Coco and said “well that’s not what friends do, why would you say you’re going to sh*g my man on a podcast?”

‘Coco then responded, “I don’t care, it’s just a sh*g I’ll sh*g anyone that I want.” And then Coco went on a bit of a tangent where she just started talking about sex and having sex with people.

‘It was a bit weird and everyone was kind of looking at each other. Even the finalists on the sofa where all like “what is going on?”.’

She continued: ‘And then it got more bickery, they were both snapping at each other. I can’t remember direct phrases but it was just things like “why would you do that?”. I think at this point Coco realised she had backed herself into a corner by saying this.

‘It then started to get really bad and the people holding scripts were having to walk onto set where all the tables are and people were looking round at each other and everybody sat that room knew that this was off-script, this was a real argument.

‘The presenter, the one that was cut down the argument, he shut it down because I think someone told him to. But it didn’t end very naturally, they did have to shut it down.

‘And then Coco did actually walk off the Love Island set and we all had to cheer her back on after the break because she just didn’t come back on set.’

MailOnline has contacted a Love Island spokesperson and representatives for Coco and Summer for comment.

Probing: As Darren attempted to pry some gossip from the Casa Amor islanders, he questioned Billy Brown, who was sat between them alongside Josh: ‘Who’s been getting with who?’

Coco and Summer’s tense exchange proved to be the most dramatic moment of the Love Island reunion – which fans have slammed for being ‘awkward’ and ‘dry’.

The drama has continued after the cameras stopped rolling, with Summer taking to Twitter on Sunday to slam the show’s decision to cut the full row, tweeting: ‘of course they edited it, we move thooo’.

The Events Decor business co-owner also ‘liked’ tweets referencing the row, including one that read: ‘People need to stop saying it’s over a boy. It’s not! It’s about how coco didn’t respect her friendship with summer.

‘You don’t do that kinda thing to someone you consider you friend, and someone who was there for u when u were getting so much hate for your personality and looks.’

After Summer piped up to Coco at the bar, she quipped back: ‘It’s banter. If you can’t handle a big personality don’t go on reality TV, it’s banter’

Coco also referenced the fight as she took to her Insta Stories to thank fans for their support and shared a message from a viewer slamming the ‘misogyny’ that sees people ‘attack other women while men get off the hook.’

During the episode the pair got into a heated back-and-forth as they rowed over Josh, with Summer accusing Coco of ‘wishing’ she slept with him following her stint in the villa.

Things became awkward as Darren was forced to split the girls up – as fans took to social media to beg to see more of the feud.

The reunion show welcomed back all of this season’s islanders to debrief on their time both inside and outside of the villa.

No drama: Josh and Billy couldn’t contain their laughter as they watched the drama unfold

And heading over to the bar, Coco and Summer were sat with Billy Brown and Josh between them.

As Darren attempted to pry some gossip from the Casa Amor islanders, he questioned Billy: ‘Who’s been getting with who?’

But with Billy refusing to give a definitive answer, Summer interjected by saying: ‘I know someone who wishes they got with someone but maybe I won’t say too much.’

The bombshell was referencing Coco’s recent appearance on podcast Saving Grace, where she told host Grace Barry that she could’ve probably slept with Josh if she wanted to after the pair were dumped from the island.

Coco appeared to imply that she regretted the decision, branding Josh ‘so fit’ during the podcast – to the apparent dismay of Summer.

Settle: Darren interrupted with an attempt to settle the harsh words, saying: ‘Guys not now’

But ready for the argument at the reunion, Coco quipped back to Summer: ‘It’s banter. If you can’t handle a big personality don’t go on reality TV, it’s banter.’

‘Friends don’t say certain things hun,’ replied Summer, as Coco blasted back: ‘Ok well he’s been moving mad.’

With Summer replying: ‘Maybe we should talk about you, If you want to talk about you we can’.

Darren interrupted with an attempt to settle the harsh words, saying: ‘Guys not now’.

But Summer hadn’t finished saying her piece yet, as she continued: ‘I just want to clarify I would never fight over anybody because I don’t see any competition.’

Shocked: While former islanders such as Antigoni Buxton couldn’t hid their expressions

While Coco hit back that Josh was just ‘a mate’, as the model sat between the two girls with his head in his hands and sunglasses on.

While it made for some awkward studio viewing at the reunion, viewers of the show couldn’t get enough of the drama as they took to Twitter discuss.

Branding the feud the ‘best part’ of the otherwise uneventful reunion, some detailed their anger that the whole spat was not shown.

With reports that the pair got much more heated than what was show on TV, viewers were desperate to know what went down.

One viewer pleaded: ‘I want to see Coco and Summers fight so badly I’m ready to sign a petition. I’m desperate.’

‘I’d actually watch 90 minutes of Summer and Coco fighting,’ wrote another.
