Coco Gauff loses in semi-finals of the Indian Wells to Aruna Sabalenka 6-4 6-0 ahead of her TV debut

Aryna Sabalenka delivered a master class on serve to crush American Coco Gauff 6-4 6-0 on Wednesday to reach the semifinals in Indian Wells.

The Australian Open champion never faced a break point and used her hard and precise serve to dispatch Gauff.

Sabalenka appears to have put her past struggles with double faults behind her, never committing a single one against Gauff, as she hit five aces and won 87% of her first serves.

Gauff quickly went down 2-0 in the first set and was unable to match the level of the Belarusian despite playing well.

Second seed Sabalenka kept her foot on the gas to dominate the second set despite attempts by the California crowd to put pressure on sixth seed Gauff.

However, Gauff is set to make her television debut on the hit CW series All American homecoming.

“I knew you guys wanted to send me home,” a smiling Sabalenka told the crowd in an on-court interview.

The hard-hitting Sabalenka will next face seventh-seeded Maria Sakkari of Greece or fifteenth-seeded Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic.

Despite her loss in today’s game, Gauff still has something to be proud of as she is set to make her major television series acting debut in the CW series ‘All American Homecoming.’

‘All American Homecoming’ is a spin-off of the CW original series All American, a sports drama that follows the lives of high school athletes in Beverly Hills as they tackle issues like racism and class warfare, alongside the usual drama. in the classroom and is inspired by the true-life story of former NFL linebacker Spencer Paysinger.

Homecoming follows the journey of a student at Bringston University, a fictional black historic college/university in Atlanta, which is also Gauff’s real-life hometown, as she pursues her dream of becoming a professional tennis player.

I am sure that I am living my dream. I guess the court part is glamorous in a way,” Gauff said of the paper after his third-round win.

Off the court, I always tell people that my life is boring. That’s part of the reason I’ve never done anything, I guess, filming or anything like that, like behind the scenes stuff. Sometimes I literally don’t leave my room.

‘And the tennis part, I guess online and that person, yeah, I’m living the dream… I enjoy this kind of balance of being extroverted in certain situations and introverted in certain situations.

‘There is no other life that I would like that is not my own right now.’

Gauff confirmed the appearance on his Twitter account yesterday after the news broke.

The appearance will mark Gauff’s first acting appearance in a television series on March 20.
