Cobram, Victoria: Woman’s body discovered in a house – as 39-year-old man assists police
A woman has been found dead in a north Victoria home while someone she knew assisted police with their investigation.
Emergency services were called to an address on Campbell Road in Cobram at around 2.15pm on Tuesday and found the woman’s body in the home.
The woman has yet to be formally identified.
A Cobram man, 39, is currently being questioned by police.
The police assume that the pair were known to each other.

“Police are working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death and investigations are ongoing,” the statement said.
No charges have been filed yet.

Cobram is a small country town near the Victoria/NSW border with a population of 6,148, 260 kilometers north of Melbourne.
The woman’s death comes just weeks after 23-year-old Hannah McGuire was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend Lachlan Young almost 200 miles away in Clunes near Ballarat.
Teaching assistant and mother of one Molly Ticehurst28, was found dead early Monday at her home in the NSW town of Forbes, about 370 kilometers west of Sydney.
Ms Ticehurst’s ex-boyfriend Daniel Billings, 29, has been charged with her alleged murder.
He was on bail for charges including rape, stalking and intimidation when he allegedly murdered Ms Ticehurst.
Ms Ticehurst’s death has renewed calls for tougher bail laws, which were backed by NSW Premier Chris Minns.
