Cobra Kai kicks off production on the sixth and final season in Atlanta with the stars teasing the ‘biggest and baddest’ season yet

Netflix has announced that its beloved Karate Kid sequel series Cobra Kai has begun filming its sixth and final season in Atlanta.

The streaming service released a teaser photo last week and a video from the set on Monday.

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka return as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence for the final season, where they are both expected to take their dojos to the international karate tournament Sekai Taikai.

The news comes months after it was announced that Macchio will team up with The Karate Kid reboot star Jackie Chan for a new film.

The video begins with Macchio saying, “Hey, Cobra Kai fans…” as Zabka continues, “The wait is over,” likely referring to the writers’ and actors’ strikes that delayed production.

Macchio adds, “Thank you so much,” as List says, “Thank you so much for watching,” while Rubio adds, “We have the best fans in the world.”
