The Coast Guard is frantically searching for five people who went missing after a fishing boat capsized.

The ship capsized at Point Couverden, a cape near Hoonah, Alaska.

Point Courverden is located about 23 miles (38 kilometers) southwest of Alaska’s capital, Juneau, as the crow flies.

Officials announced that the search was underway around 12:40 a.m. ET, 8:40 a.m. local time.
