Coachella 2023 headliners: Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean to perform at the annual festival in Indio

The headliners for the 2023 Coachella festival were shared on Tuesday.

They are Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean, shared the promoters Goldenvoice.

The artist seems to have been selected for the 22nd event due to her international reach: Bunny is Puerto Rican and Blackpink are South Korean.

Coachella is the largest music festival in North America.

Other artists included are the Icelandic star Bjork, the Spanish Rosalía, the Nigerian Burna Boy and the British-Indian singer Jai Paul.

Other acts include Metro Boomin, Pusha T, Kid Laroi, $uicideboy, A Boogie, Latto, Earthgang, Flo Milli, GloRilla, 070 Shake and Rae Sremmurd, all hip hop.

Also on hand will be Calvin Harris, Kaytranada, Porter Robinson, Yaeji and vets Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Sasha & John Digweed.

Alternative acts include Gorillaz, Wet Leg, Boygenius (with Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker), Charli XCX, Remi Wolf, Ethel Cain, Christine and the Queens, Weyes Blood, Muna, Snail Mail, Sudan Archives and veterans Blondie and the Breeders.

Bad Bunny is one of the most popular artists in the world and in 2022 he earned as much as $435.38 million from his ‘World’s Hottest Tour’.

The 28-year-old rap star surpassed the previous record, set by Ed Sheeran for his ‘Divide’ tour in 2018, when he earned $432.3 million.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Ocasio, also became the most streamed artist on Spotify for the third year in a row. In 2022 alone, his music was streamed more than 18.5 billion times.

Meanwhile, Frank was due to perform at Coachella in 2020. However, the event was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic and he was forced to wait until now to appear at the festival.

Coachella takes place at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.

The event is on the weekends of April 14-16 and April 21-23. Pre-sale begins Friday, January 13 at 11am PT.

Last year’s headliners included Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and The Weeknd, as well as the Swedish House Mafia. Doja Cat, Lil Baby, Phoebe Bridgers, Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage were there too.
