Holland Park, Brisbane: Man is arrested as police investigate chilling footage of a creepy clown robbing a service station

A man has been arrested during a police investigation into a terrifying robbery where the perpetrator wore a disturbing clown mask.

Chilling CCTV footage shows a man wearing an eye-catching disguise robbing a petrol station in Holland Park in Brisbane’s south on December 29.

As the man enters the Cavendish Rd petrol station at 7.30pm, he can be seen waving what appears to be a gun at an employee.

The footage shows him leaning over the counter and taking all the money before running off into the night.

On Saturday, Queensland Police announced a 39-year-old man had been charged with armed robbery over the incident.

“Following investigations, including information provided by members of the public, detectives attended an address in Mount Gravatt East yesterday where they arrested a 39-year-old man,” police said in a statement.

“He has been charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.”

The employee was not injured in the incident.

The masked man was described as having a slim build with long dark hair.
