Images of supermodel Tyra Banks have gone viral on social media when she appeared to sit awkwardly between two ‘furries’ during this week’s Knicks-Nets rivalry game.
Banks, an American television personality, producer, writer and actress, sat courtside and had her eyes wide open as both anthropomorphic animal figures joined her to watch Tuesday night’s game – a 108-103 victory for the Knicks – at Barclay’s Center.
The term “furries”, derived from “furry fandom”, is used to describe fans of animal characters with human features, especially a person who dresses up as such a character or uses one as an avatar online.
Banks was later shown on the arena’s jumbotron, she covered her eyes with her hands as the two furries leaned over her to cuddle.
It’s possible that a stunt was pulled on the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, but that has yet to be cleared up.

Comedian and host of Subway Takes – Kareem Rahma – also shared footage of Banks looking awkwardly at the game, although she initially appeared chatty and friendly towards the furries.
At one point she even clashed with them over music.
But as both furries kept getting in Banks’ way of caressing each other during the game, the California native seemed genuinely uncomfortable. She even seemingly asked them to stop and tried to express her concerns to the staff.
According to Kareem, the furries were later escorted out by security.
Banks has yet to talk about her experiences at Barclay’s Center on Tuesday.
