Clint Dempsey and Micah Richards recreated one of their old Premier League outbursts in a hilarious moment on CBS’s latest Champions League show.

During a match between Fulham and Manchester City in 2007, the former top division players were fighting for the ball when they became involved in a heated argument, with both men pitted against each other after shoving each other.

As tempers flared, they were eventually separated by then City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel before both men were shown yellow cards.

With Dempsey replacing regular analyst Thierry Henry – who covered AC Milan vs PSG in person – the CBS crew decided it was a good idea to show a clip of the incident before Jamie Carragher joked that they should re-enact it.

When they stood up to comply with the request, Dempsey jokingly referred to what he said at the time and said, “I told him to gain weight.”

Richards then quickly exclaimed, “I was like, ‘You don’t want this, you don’t want this!'”

Dempsey added: “His teammate had to save him,” referring to Richards’ colleagues who broke up the confrontation.

Richards then attempted an American accent as he joked: ‘Basically he’s saying, “You don’t know where I come from, dog.”‘

As a final joke before returning to their actual task of discussing the Champions League action, Dempsey spread his arms and exclaimed, “I’m from the oldest city in Texas, Nacogdoches.”

Carragher then asked Richards what he said, to which he meekly said, “I said I’m from Chapeltown,” prompting laughter in the studio.
