Footage of a fan brawl during Saturday’s game between the Cleveland Guardians and the Los Angeles Angels has gone viral.
The altercation involved a man in a red shirt and two women sitting behind him, while another male fan, innocently holding a tray of nachos, looked like he was trying to defuse the situation.
In a turn of events that escalated very quickly, one of the women, also wearing red, appeared to make a spitting motion at the man she was talking to. It’s not clear if he was spat on in the video by Instagram user b1ake_55.
The man in red reacted immediately and received a blow to the head before shoving the flying woman back into her seat.
The follow-up to his punch hit the elbow of the man holding his mid-game snack, resulting in the nachos falling to the floor before he could devour them.

Josh Naylor hit a three-run homer as Cleveland burst out for six runs in the eighth inning to storm back and stage an unexpected comeback.
Down 6-2 and seemingly heading for another disappointing loss, the Guardians, who were at the bottom of baseball in most offensive categories, pulled off an improbable victory that looked so much like last season en route to an AL Central- title.
Andres Gimenez also homered in the eighth inning for Cleveland, which had been unlucky up to that point and injured itself through poor baserunning.
When Naylor’s fifth homer landed on the seats in right field, Cleveland’s dugout exploded and a crowd of 27,644 fans, some of whom had booed earlier in the inning, finally had something to get excited about.
