Cleveland Browns fans call for Deshaun Watson to be benched amid sexual assault allegations
Cleveland Browns fans want Deshaun Watson benched amid allegations of sexual assault against the quarterback.
The Browns were 1-1 entering their Week 3 matchup against the struggling New York Giants. However, after a disappointing performance in Sunday’s 21-15 loss, fans voiced their displeasure with the quarterback and the team.
At halftime, the Browns were booed off the field as they trailed 21-7, and fans voiced their opinions on Watson’s recent form.
‘Deshaun Watson has looked like the worst QB in the NFL every week for the last 3 years and there are still people who claim he’s just a little rusty,’ a fan wrote.
“I’m not sure there are 5 starting QBs in the league worse than Deshaun Watson,” another added“This man’s accuracy is some of the worst I’ve ever seen.”

Watson underperformed and was tackled eight times in Cleveland’s 21-15 loss to the Giants
“The deal between the Browns and Deshaun Watson is the worst deal in history and I’m sure it will never be topped,” said a third.
Brown, whose on-field struggles have been linked to his struggles outside the NFL, appeared indecisive during the loss.
Although they were able to close the gap in the second half, Brown completed only 21 of 37 attempts for 196 yards. Despite throwing for two touchdowns, fans were not happy with the fact that their quarterback was sacked eight times in the game.
While it was ultimately his best game of the season, the fans were not satisfied without a win over another struggling side.
Watson completed 22 of 34 attempts for 186 yards in an 18-13 win over the Jaguars in Week 2. Before that, he completed 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown in a 33-17 loss to the Cowboys.
On September 22, it was reported that Watson was struggling mentally due to the sexual abuse allegations he faced off the field.
Watson has been at the center of multiple lawsuits over the past three seasons, having previously reached confidential settlements with 20 women in sexual misconduct lawsuits that resulted in him being suspended for 11 games through the 2022 season.

Legendary QB Warren Moon believes off-field drama is affecting Watson in games
Earlier this month, it was revealed that he is being sued for more than $1 million by a new woman who accuses him of sexually assaulting her in Texas four years ago.
“He’s still going through the same crap he was through a couple years ago, with all the lawsuits and stuff,” former quarterback Warren Moon told TMZ. “And now all of a sudden, here comes another lawsuit.
‘It seems that just as he is getting his career back on track, after all the lawsuits and injuries of the past few years, a new one is coming.’
“It seems like every time he goes on the field he plays with a heavy mind and can’t concentrate on the game,” Warren added. “He probably tries a little too hard. He presses. And he just can’t play the way he can.”
The Browns started the season 1-2 and now head on a three-game road trip that includes stops in Las Vegas, Washington and Philadelphia.
