Clementine Ford sinks to a new low as she makes an appalling claim about the deaths of Israeli hostages

Outspoken feminist writer Clementine Ford has reiterated her criticism of a deleted post in which she claimed she does not believe Hamas soldiers executed Israeli hostages following the Palestinian terror group’s October 7 attack.

Ford, who calls himself a pro-Palestinian activist, made the statement last week in comments on another Instagram profile, accusing the Israeli government of fabricating the killing of hostages by Hamas soldiers.

About 250 Israeli hostages were taken by Hamas late last year. According to the Israeli government, 97 are still being held and another 33 are believed to be dead.

Last week it was revealed that the bodies of six hostages had been found in tunnels in Gaza. Days later Ford denied they had been killed by Hamas in a response to a meme glorifying the potential demise of Israel.

The meme featured two photos of Hollywood star Tobey McGuire. The first showed him walking down the street with an awkward look on his face, with the caption: “My sister’s wedding.”

The second photo showed McGuire dressed in a suit and smiling on the red carpet. The caption read: ‘Israel’s downfall’.

In the comments, Ford wrote: “I don’t believe for a second that Hamas executed those hostages. Israel’s desperation stinks.”

While her original comment appears to have been deleted, Ford reiterated her position in a statement to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday.

Clementine Ford is a feminist writer and activist. Last week she denied that Israeli hostages were killed by Hamas.

She referred to an investigation by the left-wing Israeli newspaper Haaretz, which previously found that Israeli forces were responsible for the deaths of several of their own civilians – including three hostages – during attacks on Gaza.

Ford’s statement said: “An investigation by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, published in July and widely discussed since then, found that Israeli forces were responsible for carrying out the Hannibal directive on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of many of their own civilians.

“Israel has repeatedly lied and misrepresented scenarios to create consent for the genocide it is carrying out against Palestinians in Gaza… including the debunked and outrageous lie about 40 beheaded babies.”

However, Ford failed to acknowledge that Hamas admitted killing other Israeli hostages last year, nor did she mention that Haaretz reported Tuesday that six Israeli hostages had been killed by Hamas terrorists in late August.

According to Haaretz, initial autopsies showed that all six hostages — Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi and Master Sgt Ori Danino — had died from gunshot wounds to the head. They were in poor but stable condition.

Those were the murders she denied last week in her now-deleted Instagram comment, and again on her own Instagram page on Wednesday.

Ford said Wednesday she believes Zionists are directing her comments to the mainstream media

In her new post, Ford wrote that her views on the executions had caused her to “become the victim of the annoying Z-list screaming over that comment (which I still stand by).”

Z-lists appear to be a term Ford uses for Zionists. She then suggested that the ‘Z-lists’ had sent her comments to a series of publications, including this one, stating: ‘They are nothing if not dogged in their desperation to prevent the inevitable demise of Israel’s reputation.’

Her views sparked outrage within the Jewish community last week.

The Australian Jewish Association posted a screenshot of her comment, with the caption: “How would you describe the… content of this tweet demonstrated here by Clementine Ford?

‘Israel announced that the 6 hostages were shot in the head at close range.’

One user said: ‘Those who actively advocate for tolerance, diversity and inclusion mean by this that they only tolerate and include those who share their views.

“And as for the rest, they will simply tell you that in order to be inclusive, they have to exclude anyone with a different opinion.”

The brutal war between Israel and Hamas broke out on October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian Islamist group attacked an Israeli music festival, killing 1,200 people and capturing around 250.

Israel retaliated that same day, killing thousands of people, including some of its own citizens. The war continues to this day, with over 40,000 dead and over 95,000 wounded, mostly civilians trying to survive in the war zone.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been repeatedly accused of blocking a ceasefire to ensure his own political survival.
