Famous Australian actress Claudia Karvan, 51, has sold a beautiful property in Sydney’s eastern suburbs for $989,000.

The beautifully preserved one-bedroom, one-bath apartment in Bondi Beach was part of her late father’s estate.

Located on a leafy street not far from the beach, the Art Deco apartment was auctioned for an MSRP of $850,000.

Described as ‘oversized’ by the auctioneers, the stylish flat features a spacious open plan layout and conservatory.

The classic apartment has high ceilings, many original design features, a courtyard, polished wooden floors and a cozy kitchen and dining room.

Meanwhile, there is also a laundrette and workshop, although prior to the sale, this area ‘has not been approved as common property’.

Karvan’s biological father Peter Robins, who died in 2022, divorced her mother Gabrielle Goddard shortly after the actress was born.

The Bump star grew up with stepfather Arthur Karvan, who owned a restaurant in Sydney’s Kings Cross called Arthur’s.

The beloved Australian star first rose to fame as a child actress in the feature films Molly (1983) and High Tide (1987), in which she starred alongside Judy Davis.

Karvan received critical acclaim in two long-running hit series made back to back: The Secret Life of Us for Channel 10, which ran from 2001 to 2005, and Fox’s Love My Way, which ran on the pay channel from 2004 to 2007.

In January, Karvan spoke to Stellar Magazine about turning 50.

‘I can live out my creative passions much more. To be honest, I’ve never really valued numbers,’ she explained.

‘(It’s) significant. It’s exciting, it’s a relief to be here and it’s a change – in a very positive way,” she said.

It comes after the Bump star revealed to Daily Mail Australia last year why she would ‘never’ stop acting.

“I don’t plan to retire. I see myself acting when I’m ninety years old, when I’m in good health and still alive,” she said.

“It’s a privilege of a job to be able to do this, I must say.”
