Claudia Fogarty has hit back at fans' criticism after she shared a post detailing her fitness goals for the new year.
The former Love Island star, 29, took to her Instagram Stories for the first time to share a mirror selfie of herself in a white bra and shorts and spoke about her health goals.
She told how she had 'gained weight over Christmas' and wants to cut back on snacking, as she shared her plans to document her fitness journey on Instagram.
However, she later returned to Instagram to share a follow-up video after being hit with criticism from fans, explaining that the photo she used was from last summer.
She insisted fans didn't “get” what she was trying to say, and said she wants to feel as “amazing” again as she did in the mirror selfie.

Claudia, 29, first shared a photo of herself in a white bra and shorts on Instagram and talked about her fitness plans, but later shared a video explaining that the photo was from the summer and was her “goal”
The daughter of motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty went on to say she didn't suggest she needed to “lose weight” when she spoke about her fitness journey since she was 21.
Alongside a photo of herself in her workout gear, Claudia wrote in the original post: 'Okay, my main goal this year is to get fit and healthy and I'm going to take you all along on my journey.
'I arrived at Christmas, which is quite normal, and I don't dwell on it. But it's the time to get fit this year and feel the best I've felt, especially since I'm turning 30 this year eekkk!!!
'Chocolate and chips have become a daily habit and I'm not saying I'm going to cut them out completely, but I'm definitely going to cut back on them.
'I would like to share my fitness journey and help you all because I know you guys ask me a lot about how I lost weight etc so let's do it together and I'll be happy to help anyone who needs it.'
She then shared a video to her Stories in which she suggested she had received criticism from fans and pushed back on claims that she said she needed to lose weight.
She said: 'I thought I would make a video to explain it a little better as some people don't understand that message. It was really just to say that I want to get back to that feeling of that photo that made me feel great.
'I ate well, my skin was good, I didn't drink much, I did a lot of gym work and I felt great about myself and I think if you eat healthy and go to the gym you feel a lot better about yourself.
She hit back at the criticism, insisting she wasn't saying she should “lose weight” and insisting fans didn't “get” what she was trying to say.
She clarified that the photo she used was from “the summer” and was not what she “looks like now,” explaining that this was her “goal.”
In a series of follow-up posts, Claudia then gave insight into her fitness regime as she shared a selfie of herself preparing for a fitness class
'I'm not saying I need to lose weight, I'm not saying I'm fat at all, because I know I'm not. I want to feel better about myself and feel how I felt when I was at my target weight.
'I've explained before that I've been on a huge fitness journey since I was 21, it's something I've struggled with all my life.
'I was three stone heavier, I wasn't a healthy person, but it's something I want to get back into and I want to share my journey.
'If you want to come with me, it's nice that we can help each other. That's what it was all for, not to say I was fat in that photo, because I certainly wasn't.'

'New gym gear is sure to motivate you, so if you can treat yourself, especially while the sale is still going on.'
