CLARKSON’S FARM SERIES TWO: The Reviews

THE GUARDIAN

‘Infectiously funny’

Classification:

“It would be too much to say that Jeremy Clarkson is complex or an enigma. He does not contain multitudes. But he has the disarming ability to present different versions of himself. At one end of the Clarkson spectrum is the right-wing thug columnist, at the other is the host of Clarkson’s Farm, a celebrity reality show out of his perfectly congenial depth. It’s something that many of the man’s not-wrong detractors might not have believed he was capable of: harmless fun.

INDEPENDENT

“Jeremy is a tremendously eloquent and charismatic advocate for rural issues”

Classification:

‘Those with a low tolerance for Clarkson will have trouble with Clarkson’s Farm. It’s full of Clarksonisms and blokey pomposity… But what Clarkson understands, has always understood, since the early days of Top Gear, is that there’s a sweet spot of made-up reality, somewhere between Keeping Up with the Kardashians and the news in ten

STUFF

“UK’s favorite biting antediluvians still make TV addictive”

“Clarkson’s Farm continues to delight, showcasing a softer side to the now 62-year-old, while continuing to prove he’s as hot-tempered, irrepressible and irresponsible as ever… Throw in some cleverly and humorously chosen classic soundtrack cuts (with all , from The Who to Simon and Garfunkel) and, love him or hate him, you can’t help but be captivated by Clarkson’s attempts to transform his farm into something profitable and sustainable.
