Clare Bowditch’s Drastic Weight Loss And Diet Plan

Clare Bowditch began her weight loss journey in the fourth grade by going on a low-carb diet. As a child, Clare Bowditch struggled with her body image, which caused her to lose a substantial amount of weight.

She got into the habit of fixating her thoughts on her weight and appearance, which has had a detrimental effect on her life and mental health and has remained an ongoing problem.

She put herself on the scale when she was six years old and was shocked to realize that she had been gaining weight. She later found out that this was since she was entering puberty.

Dieting was the first step that Clare Bowditch took on her journey to a healthier weight when she was very young. Because of her weight increase, Clare experienced many difficulties in her life.

When she was a senior in high school, she began to put on weight unexpectedly. Every morning before school, she would shut herself in the bathroom and record her weight, which continued to rise despite her skepticism.

Not by much, but by some, which was enough to convince her that she had issues with herself. She then considered following certain diet and exercise routines to address her concerns.

And by the time she was eleven years old, she had already decided that she wanted to look the same as the other children in the school and had begun meeting with a well-known Diet Doctor in Melbourne.

She had a holiday break between the end of fourth grade and the beginning of fifth grade, during which she lost weight, gained height, gained confidence, and felt as though she had been successful in all aspects of her life.

Clare Bowditch Diet Plan That Helped Her To Lose Weight

She followed the diet plan created by Dr. Von Thinburger when she became concerned about her increasing weight.

Before she started counting calories with a calorie book, she didn’t even know what a calorie was or how it impacted her body. She began her diet without informing her parents and started her diet plan with the book.

Her diet consisted of low-fat foods, and her fixation on calculating calories soon mutated into something new. As a kind of game, she wanted to test how far she could push things without being discovered or caught.

In a nutshell, she did not eat enough food for her developing body to feel satisfied, resulting in her hunger, even starving at times, and horrifyingly sensitive to rebound overeating, which invariably leads to binge eating.

She persuaded herself that her being weak and inadequate indicated her giving up on dieting and eating unhealthy meals regularly. However, she stopped trying to diet for long periods and began eating bad foods regularly.

Clare Bowditch’s Weight Loss Journey

Clare’s path from childhood to the present day has inspired many of her followers, and she does not hesitate to recount the story to anybody who asks.

They had measured her weight and screamed in front of the entire school; she felt guilty and constantly felt ‘too fat.’

Because of her stature, she was the target of bullying at school, where she was dubbed names like Big Bird and other insulting terms. She was ashamed, and the fact that she couldn’t wear things from stores and had no more influential role models to look up to didn’t help the situation.

According to her parents, it was important not how much their daughter weighed but what was happening inside her. But, in year four, Bowditch pleaded with his parents to take him to a dietitian, and as a result, he was made to follow an extremely stringent diet that excluded dairy products, sugar, and fat.

When she finally reduced her weight, her classmates and even their parents complimented her on her achievement. Comments made with good intentions that associated thinness with worthiness became deeply imprinted in her mind and contributed to this association.

According to NewsThrive, her journey to recovery from her nervous breakdown was paved with new tales she told others. It assisted Bowditch in overcoming her anxiety and concerns related to her body image, which enabled her to take the necessary steps toward pursuing a career in music.

Bowditch’s dramatic weight loss is because she was severely underweight as a child, although she would not find this out until later. She already had an unhealthy relationship with food when she left school.

Overall, her weight loss journey was a difficult one.  Bowditch recalled the year before she decided to pursue music as a career when she could not have a social life because of her extreme weight. By the time she left school, she had already gained a lot of interest in music.
