Claire Sweeney had the best intentions when she went out to the gym on Monday, but ended up at the movies.
The presenter, 51, shared a video of herself on Instagram just as she sat down to enjoy watching The Fabelmans with a box of popcorn.
In her video, Claire admitted that she was struggling with her fitness motivation, saying she can’t “get my butt into action.”
She said: ‘So I was on my way to the gym and got off the bus after doing film school.
“It’s like 11 in the morning and look,” she added, holding up her popcorn and laughing. ‘I just can’t get my butt into action. I’m going to see The Fabelmans.

Alongside the clip, she wrote: ‘This happened on the way to the gym! Feeling hormonal and out of control.
‘I had to leave 20 minutes before the end of the movie even though I had a singing lesson. What happens? She got to where she just made the movie and the bully apologizes.
Claire’s video earned praise from her followers, who thanked her for making them feel “normal” about their own struggles with motivation in the gym.
One user wrote: “I love this, more of this please Claire, it makes us all feel a little more normal.”
Another said: “Sometimes you just need a break from the gym and the normal routine,” while a third wrote: “Well done, not a bad morning.”
A fourth added: “Love Claire, glad I’m not the only one with zero motivation x.”
Last year, Claire revealed her weight loss secrets before starring in Cabaret All Stars and wanted to look “physically her best.”
She said: “The plan is to start going to the gym and doing hot yoga five days a week, because it’s amazing for losing weight and strengthening my core.”

While she’s been open about her fitness regimen, Claire has always been adamant that she doesn’t put too much pressure on herself and has previously “accepted being overweight’.
During a March 2022 appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, Claire revealed her secrets to looking and feeling good: “I think it’s just dressing appropriately, I changed my hair a bit.” Just accept it and enjoy being you.
‘I’m stone overweight at the moment, but that will work out. Don’t beat yourself up about things.
Loraine replied: ‘You are a wise woman. Too many of us procrastinate, thinking I’ll use it when I lose a rock. Use it now!
Laughing, Claire said, ‘Put on your panties and put on a dress!’
