Claire Sweeney hilariously revealed she flashed her bottom during her first Dancing On Ice rehearsal on Wednesday.

The actress, 52, who became the second celebrity to be announced for the series, shared a photo of the embarrassing accident on her Instagram Story.

Laughing at the incident, she bravely stood up and continued skating, only to learn that Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean had witnessed the fall.

Claire showed off her ripped leggings and wrote: ‘First day on ice fell off. I was so proud, I got up and kept going.

‘When I got off the ice I realized I’d been skating around with Torvill and Dean with my butt hanging out!’

Soap star Claire confirmed she would be taking part in the next series of Dancing On Ice last month.

The actress was the second celebrity to be announced, joining previously confirmed world champion boxer Ricky Hutton MBE.

Revealing the news on This Morning, Claire said: “I’m really looking forward to going to the rink with my son and actually being able to skate and not having to use the penguins they give you to help you stay upright!”

She added: “I had to wear boots around the house… I haven’t stepped on ice yet.”

“Here I step into the unknown.” I don’t know how I will feel. But I’m very excited.’

Claire added: “I’m nervous and excited to do it.”

When Holly Willoughby and her co-host Ben Shepherd asked about her previous dance experience, she said: “How does dancing prepare you for skating? It’s completely different.

“It’s more about the mind and overcoming fear.” You can make beautiful shapes with your hands and things like that, but it’s about overcoming fear.’
