Claire Danes is every inch the doting new mother while carrying her baby girl, three months, around NYC on a RARE public sighting since giving birth

Claire Danes looked every inch a doting new mother on Monday as she carried her three-month-old daughter in a baby carrier around New York City.

As she walked down the street in a pair of black leather heeled boots, the 44-year-old actress held her little girl strapped to her chest under her black trench coat.

The Homeland star shielded her child from the crisp autumn breeze with her jacket and by placing a fluffy pink and white blanket around her youngest, whose name has yet to be revealed.

For her laid-back outing, the mother of three, who has been happily married to Hugh Dancy since 2009, rocked a pair of oversized black sunglasses and dark wash jeans.

She styled her golden blonde mane in a low bun, which was secured with a clear clip and silver earrings.

Danes also showed off her new mom glow as she emerged for a rare sighting since the birth of her third child in July.

She and her longtime husband also share two other children, sons Cyrus, 10, and Rowan, 5.

Earlier this year, Claire opened up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon about how her sons reacted when they found out she was pregnant.

She said her eldest son Cyrus was “kind of resigned to it,” while joking about her youngest son: “I mean, the worst has already happened: His name is Rowan.”

The award-winning actress then noted, “But Rowan has more to lose, like there’s more at stake. And he was categorically against the idea.”

The blonde beauty shared that the youngster made an adorable suggestion when he told her, “If it comes out of your belly, we’ll give it to a family that doesn’t have a baby because we’re done.”

She explained how she could influence Rowan by explaining the significance of his role as a big brother.

“He wasn’t too happy, but then we talked about how when the baby comes out he’s going to be quite stupid (and) not know much, and will need help and some education,” she said.

She continued, “That was interesting for him. He liked the idea of being a condescending presence. So now he’s a bit more optimistic.’
