Claims Liam Hemsworth is ‘envious’ of Glen Powell’s success after the pair ‘faced off over action blockbuster role’

Glen Powell’s career has become increasingly successful in recent times.

But the American actor’s success appears to be making Australian star Liam Hemsworth “jealous”, a new report has revealed.

The men know each other from the audition circuit, New idea magazine this week, but while Liam’s career is stagnating, Glen’s career is booming.

“Nowadays, he would hardly be recognized at a Hollywood party,” a source told the publication.

“Meanwhile, Glen has an inbox full of scripts, profiles in Vanity Fair and is being hailed as the man who is single-handedly bringing back movie heartthrobs. Naturally, Liam is pissed.”

The source further claims that the actors became rivals when they competed for a role in a major action film.

Glen landed a role in the third Expendables film in 2014, after Liam appeared in the second installment of the franchise in 2012 and never returned.

“Essentially, Glen was cast in his place. There’s no doubt that Glen picked up where Liam left off,” the source claims.

Ny Breaking Australia has contacted Liam Hemsworth for comment.

Although Liam hasn’t had a major blockbuster role since 2014’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, he has been working steadily since then.

He starred in the action films Poker Face and Land of Bad in 2022 and 2024, and has taken on the lead role in the Netflix series The Witcher following Henry Cavill’s departure in 2022.
