City Road, Sydney: Rush hour traffic chaos as ‘self-harm incident’ closes down busy city street

Rush hour traffic has come to a standstill, with huge tailbacks in Sydney’s inner west, after a ‘self-harm’ incident closed all traffic in one direction.

City Road in Camperdown at Butlin Avenue has been closed southbound following the reported tragedy, causing traffic to back up onto Parramatta Road and beyond.

Commuters have been told to expect delays in both directions due to heavy traffic that started to pile up just before 8am on Friday.

Police are at the scene of the ‘self-harm’ incident, 2BG radio has reported.

This incident takes place near the University of Sydney.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted NSW Police in relation to the incident.
