The Citroën C4 is the most satisfying car to own, according to Auto Express’ annual Driver Power study

The Citroen C4 (Mk3 since 2020) is the most satisfying car to own according to the annual Driver Power study by car magazine Auto Express (auto express.co.uk).

It scored 93.39 per cent in the poll of thousands of British drivers, taking into account issues such as reliability and build quality, ride and handling, fuel consumption and running costs, maintenance costs, usability and space, comfort and value for money.

Runner-up in the 2023 poll is the Kia Sorento (2020 Mk4) with 92.44 percent satisfaction.

The Lexus RX (Mk4 – 2015 to 2022) is third with 92.15 per cent, followed by the Dacia Duster (Mk2 2018 to present with 91.75 per cent) and the Subaru Outback (Mk6 01.73) with 91. 73 percent.

The study also breaks down motorists’ experiences into categories and classes of cars, from superminis to SUVs.

New EV Trail in Lakes for EV drivers

Electric car drivers are invited to explore some of the Lake District’s finest destinations on a new EV Trail this summer.

The 74-mile route, including 50kW fast chargers, takes in UNESCO World Heritage Site highlights such as Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick and Ullswater.

It was created by Cumbria Tourism for the Low Carbon Lake District initiative. The organizers say: ‘Experiencing the many attractions is best done over a few days or even a week, allowing you to enjoy the area’s lakes, forests, mountains, castles and other historic sites in the most sustainable way .’

An additional 900 charging points will be installed with funding from the Ministry of Transport’s LEVI (Local Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles) grant.
