Lazio and Italy striker Ciro Immobile is said to have been involved in a shocking car accident on Saturday night after colliding with a tram.
The 33-year-old – who has won 55 caps for Italy and scored 194 goals in 289 appearances for Lazio – saw his car break down after the crash.
Reports in Italy saying he’s fine, other than a bloodied hand and a possible broken shoulder.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport reported that while driving near Ponte Matteotti – which is just five minutes from Lazio’s Olympico stadium – a tram ran a red light and hit his car.
Immobile was in the car with his two daughters at the time and other people were involved in the accident – including the tram passengers.

In a video is circulating on social mediawhen bystanders asked what had happened, Immobile recounted, “I turned a little bit to the left – you can even see the car was only hit on one side.
“The tram ran a red light, but now I don’t really feel like talking.” When asked how he was feeling, the assailant said, “I hurt my arm a little.”
Witnesses to the collision reaffirmed Immobile’s claims that the tram did not respect the red light with the attacker’s Land Rover SUV vandalized after the incident.
Italian media also reported that Immobile and his two daughters were taken to hospital but are not believed to be seriously injured.
They also stated that the striker accompanied an injured person to the hospital and checked their well-being after the crash.
The incident comes after Immobile ended a goalless streak by scoring in Lazio’s 3-0 win over Spezia in Serie A.
Maurizio Sarri’s side are currently second in Italy’s top flight after a fine season and look poised to reach the Champions League proper for the second time in 16 seasons.
Immobile is known as one of Italy’s greatest sharpshooters of all time, with 192 goals in 314 Serie A matches.
After breaking through as a youngster at Pescara and Genoa, his career also saw him represent Torino, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Siena and Grosetto before moving to Lazio in 2016.
The Eagles return to action next Saturday with a home game against Torino, but it remains to be seen if Immobile will be fit enough to play.
