The 5ft 9in stunner recently opened up about her modeling career in the aptly named Apple TV Plus documentary Supermodels.

She opened up in the first episode of the doc about why she never cut her hair short, after a ‘traumatizing’ experience at one of her first professional photo shoots.

After booking a shoot with celebrity photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the then aspiring model discovered she was in for more than she bargained for when her hair was cut on the first night of the gig.

What confused the then catwalk expert was the fact that she thought her agency had reached an agreement that she didn’t have to cut her hair.

It was a provision that was first presented when she booked the shoot.

Telling how a hairdresser was sent to her room on the first night to ‘tweak’ her, they proceeded to ‘cut off her ponytail without asking.’

That moment made the mother of two question whether she even wanted to pursue a modeling career.

“I really felt like I wasn’t seen as a person who had a voice in her own destiny,” the Illinois-born beauty explained.
