A customer was shocked to discover a giant cicada nestled in a salad he bought from their local Woolworths.
The customer found the dead insect when they were halfway through the Korean salad they bought at a Woolies store in NSW.
“I found this big guy in my Korean salad today… half way through eating it (the salad),” the man wrote alongside photos of the cicada.
In photos of the spoiled salad, the man used his hand as a reference to show how big the cicada is next to the corn, cabbage and shredded carrot.
Aussies were quick to share their thoughts on the disgusting find.
“No, that’s a salad,” one person wrote.
Oh shit. Someone really earned their Woolies,” a second joked.
‘You paid too little. There is an additional charge for the cicada topping,” a third noted.
“It could have been worse… I could have only found half of him!” said a fourth.

“Since I was halfway through the salad, there was a good chance this could have happened,” the man replied.
One commenter suggested there was a silver lining.
“This is how you know the salad is fresh and chemical-free,” they said.
It looks like the growers didn’t spray it with any nasty pesticides. It would have been washed, so not that bad.
“But I’d probably still return it for a refund/replacement.”
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Woolworths for comment.
