Ciara revealed on Instagram that she will perform with Walker Hayes at the Country Music Awards on Friday.
The 36-year-old R&B star made the announcement by posting a video on Wednesday of her dancing on a tarmac in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere.
“CC’s going Country Ya’ll,” she captioned the post. ‘Ahhh!! Performing with my boy @WalkerHayes on Friday! @CMT Artist of the Year Awards! Switch!’

Ciara and her star quarterback moved to the great outdoors of Centennial State over the summer so he could play for the Denver Broncos, and perhaps this move inspired a new passion for country music.

But sometimes the outdoors has been too close for comfort. “I came across a snake,” the superstar said. “We have geese on the lawn that I chase away because I don’t like the goose droppings.”
“It’s moth season,” the singer added. “Literally, we open our door, and a handful of moths fall down.” And yet the wildlife that surrounds the Level Up singer’s new town has apparently sparked her creativity. “I’m inspired to be there, honestly,” she said.
Ciara and Wilson married in 2016 and share two children, daughter Sienna Princess, 5, and son Win Harrison, 1. The glamorous singer also has a son named Future Zahar, 8, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.

The two-time BET Award winner has been booked to perform with Walker Hayes. The country pop singer has released three studio albums, the most recent being Country Stuff in January this year. That album debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 and became Walker’s first top 10 album.
It will be an interesting combination, because Ciara is known for her impressive stage presence, dancing skills and breathing soprano vocals. She cited Michael Jackson as her biggest influence, speaking of the legendary icon in MTV’s Tribute Special A celebration of Michael Jackson: ‘When someone asks me who inspires me to do what I do, I always say Michael.’
