Chuck Schumer is roasted for posting picture of himself grilling cheeseburgers after social media users spotted an embarrassing mistake
Chuck Schumer’s ‘Father’s Day Heaven’ quickly took a turn for the worse after he tried to demonstrate his skills on the grill.
The Senate Majority Leader posted a photo of himself in shorts and a T-shirt casually flipping a hamburger while tending a barbecue at his daughter’s home.
But the photo was deleted faster than a flaming hot dog after followers on X saw him slapping a piece of cheese onto a raw burger.
And his political opponents were quick to fan the flames, including Donald Trump Jr., who accused him of “playing to the masses.”
“If you need help learning the basic grilling stuff, let me know,” he added. ‘Nice try to tell you.’

The Democratic leader, right, celebrated at the new home his daughter Alison, left, and her wife Elizabeth Weiland, center, bought.
The veteran politician admitted his inexperience as he tweeted from his daughter Alison’s home.
“Our family has lived in an apartment complex for years,” the New York senator wrote.
‘But my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we are having a barbecue with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill.
‘Father’s Day heaven.’
Grill fans didn’t care, as the 73-year-old Democrat found himself thoroughly rationed on social media.
“Remember this the next time you hear someone brag about their Harvard degree.” wrote one.
“King Charles probably knows how to make a cheeseburger better than Charles Schumer, and I’m sure the King has no idea,” said another.
“Yes, but he can screw the taxpayers,” a third added.
Even more people were upset by the unappealing appearance of the burgers themselves.
“I don’t know about you, but when I grill burgers the meat is fresh and red, not light gray like rotten meat,” one wrote.
“There’s not an ounce of flavor on those pre-made frozen burgers with old meat,” another added.
“Oh and no smoke at all,” a third commented.
The Senate leader is far from the first politician to be roasted for an unfinished performance on the grill.
Donald Trump Jr. was quick to fan the flames, mocking Schumer for his efforts
New York Governor Kathy Hochul was also mocked by die-hard grilling fans for her awkward performance at a 2022 barbecue
The senator quickly deleted his photo, but not before it caught fire online
New York Governor Kathy Hochul was mocked for tweeting a photo of herself in a pristine white outfit while gingerly holding a spatula with an uncooked burger on it during an August 2022 barbecue.
But Schumer, the nation’s highest-ranking Jewish elected official, also faced religious backlash for violating the ban on eating meat and cheese.
“I love you Chuck, but the cheese in the burger just wasn’t necessary,” Rabbi Elchanan Poupko tweeted.
“It’s a pretty basic Jewish practice to avoid mixing meat and dairy products.”
