Christopher Walken, 80, makes a rare appearance for Robert De Niro’s VERY star-studded 80th birthday bash in NYC

Christopher Walken, 80, made a rare public appearance Thursday as he attended the star-studded 80th birthday party in NYC.

The iconic actor, who starred alongside DeNiro in the 1978 film The Deer Hunter, was looking good as he attended the party at Locanda Verde restaurant along with his wife Georgianne, 79, whom he married in 1969.

The Sleepy Hollow star wore a black T-shirt, navy blue blazer and baggy pants, paired with sneakers.

He appeared relaxed when asked for autographs as he entered the soiree with his wife.

The Deer Hunter was a critical success, with Walken winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as troubled Vietnam War veteran Nick Chevotarevich. DeNiro was going to be nominated for Best Actor, but ended up losing.

Robert’s last year has been a personal rollercoaster, from the joy of his daughter’s arrival in April to the death of his 18-year-old grandson Leandro in July.

Leandro’s mother Drena, Robert’s firstborn child, announced that her son had been given pills containing fentanyl, which tragically claimed his life.

He was found dead in his $950,000 Wall Street apartment on July 2, sitting in a chair with white powder nearby.
