Christmas nightmare for Brittany Hockley as she is trapped in a blizzard while driving through the Scottish Highlands

Brittany Hockley and her KIIS FM co-star Mitch Churi had a less than ideal Christmas experience during a trip to Scotland.

The Bachelor star, 36, revealed to her Instagram fans on Thursday that she was stuck in a snowstorm while driving through the Scottish Highlands with Mitch.

'I'm trying to get us out. The power lines are down and we can't get through and we've been standing in line for a long time,” Brittany told her fans as she sat behind the wheel of the car.

The brunette looked frustrated as she waited helplessly in traffic for road workers to rectify the situation.

Brittany, ever the influencer, was later seen getting out of the car and braving the cold to pose for photos against the snowy backdrop.

Luckily, road crews managed to fix it and the KIIS FM The Pick Up co-stars quickly found their way to a local pub and warmed up with a drink.

Brittany is currently in Scotland for the Christmas holidays visiting her Swiss football star boyfriend Benjamin Siegrist, 31, who calls the country home.

In October, the stunner revealed that she and Benjamin were taking the next step in their romance.

Speaking to Ny Breaking Australia, the former reality star revealed her plans to fly her family out to spend Christmas together as a family after three months apart.

'I'm so ridiculously in love with my partner, Ben, and he lives in Scotland. So I'm going to spend Christmas and New Year with him in Scotland,” she said.

“My sister, my parents are coming over too… I'm just going to have the time of my life, guys.”

Brittany went on to say that she would return to Scotland with her family and friends over Christmas so she can celebrate Hogmanay with Benjamin.

Hogmanay is the Scottish word for the last day of the old year and is synonymous with celebrating the new year in the Scottish way.

Brittany and her partner were forced to take a break after she returned to Sydney from Europe for work commitments in September.

She previously said that the September to December break would be the longest time they have spent apart and that they usually stick to the 'maximum eight weeks apart' rule.

Luckily, road crews managed to get things fixed and the KIIS FM stars quickly found their way to a local pub and warmed up with a drink.
