Christine McGuinness ’embraces’ her unique family as she describes them as ‘unlike any other’
Christine McGuinness opened up about her family dynamics this week when she described coming to terms with her differences with others.
The former model, 35, shares twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and Felicity, six, all with autism, with ex-husband Paddy McGuinness.
Continuing to live together for the sake of their children, the former couple have been open about their co-parenting dynamic at home.
And speaking on Heart FM’s No Filter this week, Christine explained: “We’re not really like any other family I know.”
Continuing that she doesn’t compare herself to others and her family life, the TV personality also touched on her own autism diagnosis and how it relates to motherhood.

Civil: She and ex Paddy McGuinness continue to live together for the sake of their children, and the former couple is also open about their co-parenting dynamic in the house.
“I love how we are, I try not to compare myself to any other family because we’re not really like any other family I know,” Christine explained to Heart.
She continued: ‘So, I feel comfortable and accept our family for who we are, and I love our differences.
“Each and every family is unique anyway, but ours is just one that I have never seen on any social media platform before and I am very proud of that.
“I love us, I love how we are,” concluded the mother of three children.
Christine was separated from Paddy’s husband of 11 years in 2022, with the couple still living in their home to keep things as “normal” as possible for their three children, who are unaware of the breakup.
Her new show, Unmasking My Autism, shares insights and details about her life since she was diagnosed with developmental disability in 2021.
And sharing details during the interview with Heart, he explained: ‘It’s a positive that I am autistic and my three children are because we understand each other much more.
‘It’s a blessing and I love it. I know when to give them a break and I know they’re not being difficult.’

The interview comes after the star admitted that he stayed in his marriage to Paddy because he felt “safe” at the time and “doesn’t like change”.
Paddy and Christine took to Instagram to confirm their split last year, revealing that they would continue to live together for the sake of their three autistic children.
In a joint statement, they wrote: “We had not planned to share this publicly until we were ready, but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal lives, we felt we had no choice but to come clean.”
‘Some time ago we made the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue to love and support our children.
“It was not an easy decision to make, but we are moving forward as the best parents we can be to our three beautiful children. We will always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and we still live happily together in our family home.
“We hope this will now put an end to further unwanted and unnecessary intrusions into our private lives.
