Christine McGuinness admits she’s ‘really not fine’ after split from husband Paddy

Christine McGuiness has admitted she is “really out of order” and “not one hundred percent” since her divorce from husband Paddy.

The 34-year-old Real Housewives Of Cheshire star took to Instagram on Wednesday to give her followers a life update, explaining that she is very nervous about attending the NTAs on Thursday in light of their divorce.

The model and TV personality, who is mother to Paddy’s three children and was with him for 11 years before the couple announced their shock in August, filmed herself sitting in the car sipping coffee.

A nervous Christine said, “Hello everyone, I thought I’d come by to say hello. It has been a while. I know I’ve been quiet. I’ve been through a lot that I know most of you know.

“A lot of you checked me in, which I really appreciate. Thank you very much. I will be honest. I’m not gonna lie. I’m not going to stand up and say, ‘I’m fine. I’m just having a little rest. I’m really not okay.

“There’s been way too much on my plate lately, but I’m fine. I have more good days than bad and I missed talking about myself here. I talk to myself every day, but I didn’t realize how many times I used Instagram as an outlet.

She added: “I used to come every day just to chat shit, and I miss that, so I’m going to try to be a little more active. At the moment I don’t feel quite a hundred percent myself, so I probably won’t have much rest, but I’m doing well.’

Christine will walk the red carpet for the National Television Awards this Thursday night.

She admitted she was afraid to go there as Paddy will be there too.

Before clapping her hand to her face, she said, “Well, I’m going to the NTAs tomorrow. I’ve been nominated for the documentary that me and Patrick made with our kids and I’m very tense. I’m pretty nervous just about everything.

“It’s not the best situation, but you know I didn’t do anything wrong and I know what a big difference it makes to make a documentary and I know how hard the whole team worked on it, so I’m going to try my head up and just enjoy the night.’

A nervous Christine told her followers, “I’ve been nominated for the documentary that me and Patrick made with our kids and I’m really concerned. I’m quite nervous, just because of everything.’

MailOnline revealed earlier this year exclusively that Paddy, 48, had separated from wife Christine, 34, after 11 years of marriage, with the couple “living a life apart” for months.

Paddy has been hit by claims that he cheated on his wife with a fellow TV star last year, and had the Take Me Out host deny that he had secretly flirted with a second star behind Christine’s back.

The couple have three children – twins Leo and Penelope, eight, and Felicity, five.

In a statement confirming the split, the couple wrote: “We didn’t plan on sharing this publicly until we were ready, but after the lack of privacy around our personal lives, we feel like we have no choice but to clarify.

“We made the difficult decision to break up a while ago, but our main focus, as always, is to continue to love and support our children.

“This was not an easy decision to make, but we are moving forward as the best parents we can be to our three beautiful children.

“We will always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily together in our parental home.”

They added: “We hope this now draws a line under more unwanted interference with our private lives.”
