Christine Lampard is about to make an unexpected career move.

The presenter, 45, who is married to former Chelsea player Frank, will join Kelly Cates and Hayley McQueen for a Sky Sports football podcast called Not Just Football.

It will compete with Gary Neville’s famous podcast and will feature an all-female format launching on October 8 that will be ‘nothing like Loose Women’, with Christine as a regular presenter.

The guest trio will present the show on a weekly basis and will see them take on and react to the biggest news in the world of football.

Exclusive interviews will also be a must as the presenters bring to the table their best connections in the industry.

Kelly and Hayley have had a long-standing friendship, as the pair’s fathers played sports together.

Chatting with MailOnline, Sky Sports presenter Kelly, 49, said: “What we’re looking for is something from weekend football that isn’t necessarily covered elsewhere.

‘There are so many football podcasts and it’s very difficult to find something that hasn’t been done already.

‘So it’s not about analysis. It’s not necessarily about a deep dive into the tactics of the North London Derby or whatever, but it’s more about the stories surrounding it.’

Teasing the highly anticipated podcast, the Scottish presenter also revealed that the trio will open up about their own private lives.

“We’ve all been through very different things in life, and I think we’ll talk very openly about some of the challenges we’ve faced in our personal lives and in our careers.

‘We’re not going to stand there like three women pretending. It won’t be like Loose Women, that’s for sure.

“I think it will be very, very different to the current Stick to Football because none of us have played, but we have all been influenced by the game in different ways.”
