Christina Applegate rants on social media about new season of Love Island USA and targets ‘weird sounds’

Christina Applegate hilariously criticized reality show Love Island USA on social media.

The 52-year-old actress shared her thoughts on the Peacock dating show on X on Wednesday, after admitting she’s become a fan of reality TV since being diagnosed with MS.

“I love Love Island. Watched every season. I have a problem with the production and the contestants. Can you please stop making weird noises with your water bottles? Like holding a straw in your mouth and chewing and not sipping. Or girls with long nails making clicking, clacking noises on ha,” she posted on the site formerly known as Twitter.

About 20 minutes later Christina posted: ‘Also to add to my Love island rant. White deodorant on your armpits in the heat is gross. You are all very attractive people, please use clear deodorant!!! The white pussy s*** in your folds is not bueno. This is just me helping you be the best version of yourself. Haha.’

Christina’s posts resonated with her followers and viewers of the show, which introduced Ariana Madix, 39, as the new host when the sixth season kicked off in June.

“Especially Liv! She uses that water bottle like a security blanket!!,” one person commented, referring to 21-year-old Australian islander Olivia “Liv” Walker.

Another person in the comments noted that he hates it when white deodorant “curdles,” saying it reminded him of “something too graphic to share.”

“Well, I’ll tell you. Yeast infection. That’s all I see right now,” Christina replied.

The ‘Married… with Children’ star announced in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Christina revealed in an April episode of her podcast MeSsy with Jamie-Lynn Sigler (43) that she has become an avid viewer of reality TV.

“I didn’t start until two years ago when I was diagnosed. In the two years that I’ve been watching from my bed, I’ve probably watched, what? 300 hours of reality TV, I think. Probably more,” she said.

Christina met The Sopranos star Jamie, who also has MS, through mutual friend Lance Bass, 45, and they struck up a friendship over their shared diagnosis. They launched their podcast together in March.

Jamie was diagnosed with MS in 2002, when she was 20 years old.

Christina announced last month that her 13-year-old daughter, Sadie Grace LeNoble, has been diagnosed with the neurological condition Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Misophonia, which leads to a decreased tolerance to specific sounds.

Sadie spoke on her mother’s podcast about how sad she felt about her symptoms being ignored by her teachers at school. Meanwhile, her mother offered an emotional apology to the teen for not realizing something was wrong sooner.

“I have something called POTS,” Said said. “I have no idea what it is exactly, but it has something to do with the autonomic nervous system and it affects my heart.”

“When I stand up, I get really dizzy and my legs go weak. I feel like I’m going to faint,” she added.

On days when it’s bad, she may faint and even pass out.
