Christina Aguilera reminisces with Drew Barrymore over meeting the E.T. actress as a teenager: ‘I was so green and starstruck!’

Christina “Xtina” Aguilera recently welcomed fellow former child star Drew Barrymore to the brand new Voltaire Belle De Nuit at the Venetian Resort and Casino to see her perform her Las Vegas residency.

The 49-year-old host couldn’t remember the first time she met the 43-year-old R&B belter, who told the story in a sneak peek of Tuesday’s episode of her syndicated CBS talk show.

It most likely happened in 1998, when Drew was 23 and Christina was 17: “I get very shy, especially the more you respect someone you are, I can’t even make eye contact. I’m the weirdest nerd when it comes to stuff like that!’

“This was at The Ivy,” Aguilera remembered from the popular West Hollywood restaurant.

“I was so green for LA, I was like a teenager and I was so green and in awe of everything, and then Drew Barrymore is sitting at the next table. And you went to the bathroom and I thought, ‘This is my moment.’

The five-time Grammy winner followed Barrymore into the bathroom and introduced herself: “I was like, ‘Hi, I’m Christina and I’m such a big fan and I’m here for the first time recording my (debut studio) album to withdraw. It was time and I just wanted to say hi and blah, blah, blah.”

Christina continued, “And you were the friendliest celebrity I ever met. You were so warm and kind to me and I’ve never forgotten that, so thank you for doing that for me.”

The six-time Emmy nominee replied, “I’m so happy. That’s how people should behave.’

Aguilera agreed, “But then we all have our walls and we’re guarded and I think it depends on what day or whatever, but it was just so nice of you to be so warm and you said, “Good luck with that.”

The Staten Island-born, half-Ecuadorian singer dressed her shrinking 6-foot figure in a black long-sleeved top, matching leather shorts and red leather kinky boots selected by stylist Chris Horan.

Hairstylist Igor Rosales-Jackson styled Christina’s shoulder-length platinum blonde locks and makeup artist Etienne Ortega completely sculpted her complexion for the morning show.

“I really enjoyed spending time with the one and only Drew Barrymore!” Christina – who has 60.6 million social media followers – wrote on Monday evening.

“Thank you so much for coming to Vegas, sharing your sweet stories and laughing like a little kid with me. You’re magical!’
