Christina Aguilera is heading to Australia for the first time in 15 years for her highly anticipated show in Melbourne.

The pop icon, 42, is heading Down Under for the one-off concert at Flemington Racecourse as part of the Victorian Government’s 17-day ‘statewide celebration of contemporary live music’.

On Monday, the Candyman hitmaker was spotted in Los Angeles heading to LAX Airport to board her flight.

The blonde beauty wore a maroon leather trench coat paired with an all-black ensemble – including a black leather belt and heeled boots.

She wore futuristic sunglasses and silver jewelry, while carrying a very unique handbag.

As part of her new brand ambassadorship for Menulog, Christina stepped out with a custom Australian Menulog designer delivery bag.

“I’m so excited to come back to Australia and perform after 15 years,” Christina said.

The six-time Grammy winner will light up the open-air stage at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, November 25.

The journey also marks twenty years since she released her pop masterpiece Stripped.

The singer is joined by Swedish DJ sensation Eric Prydz, who is ready to get the crowd pumping with his beats at the city’s Always Live celebration.

The government-sponsored musical bash, now in its second year, is set to get bigger and better.

Whether it’s packed stadiums, intimate pubs or chic rooftops, there is something for every music lover.

To add to the excitement, First Nations musical activists will be led by King Stingray at the Arts Center Melbourne on December 1.

And it’s not just international acts that steal the show; local gems like Tones and I, Illy and Amy Shark are getting ready to release their hits.

From November 24 to December 10, more than 165 artists will rock more than 60 electrifying events in Melbourne and beyond.

The 17-day live music program takes place across Victoria and includes performances from British singer Jessie Ware and AB Original.

Melbourne-based rock band Amyl and the Sniffers, British-Indian musician Jai Paul and Peter Garrett are among more than 60 events on the programme.
