Fitness influencer roasted over glaring spelling error in latest sponsorship post: ‘How have you not been cancelled honestly’

Christie Swadling came under fire on Monday for a glaring spelling mistake as she tried to revamp a fashion brand.

The fitness influencer, 27, posted a video to her Instagram promoting a sale at activewear store Keep That Pump, but followers could only talk about one thing.

Capitalizing on a recent TikTok trend, the YouTube star wrote on a piece of cardboard that she was “looking for a man in finance,” but spelled “finance” as “fiancée.”

Her fans wasted no time in pointing out the mistake to the lifestyle and fitness vlogger.

“I’m baffled that you not only spelled it ‘fiancé’ but went back to it multiple times and still haven’t realized it?” one person wrote.

They added: ‘Finance is not a trick word, it’s spelled how it sounds… How have you honestly not been canceled hahaha.’

‘A man in fiance???’ another user commented, while someone else said: ‘The typo for finance.’

Others simply wrote the word “fiance” next to several laughing emojis, while Christie asked one commenter to “ignore” the spelling mistake.

It comes just days after Christie’s fans raised concerns about the controversial influencer’s changing voice.

Christie is a fitness blogger from New South Wales who has overcome an eating disorder and now promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.

But within the span of five years, the blonde’s voice has drastically deepened and left her followers wondering why.

Influencer watchdog account @before.after_influencerswhich primarily shares Australian influencers and celebrity transformations, posted a series of videos revealing Christie’s higher voice in April 2019, followed by a video of her speaking in March 2024.

In the recent video, Christie’s voice sounds huskier and deeper.

“Do you think it just comes down to natural aging and maturation?” the account requested in the caption.

“Did the video slow down on the last one because she talks a lot slower too?” Maybe it’s a health problem?’ one user suggested in the comments.
