Controversial fitness influencer Christie Swadling shocked fans after seeing a cockroach crawl out of her kettle in a TikTok video.

Swadling, who made headlines after filing for bankruptcy in December, was filming a clip about being a “beauty freak” when the unfortunate incident happened.

“I’m the biggest cleaning freak, I’m a stress head,” she said, taking a Smeg kettle out of her kitchen cupboard.

‘My OCD [obsessive-compulsive disorder]my ADD [attention-deficit disorder]whatever it is, I’m just a neat freak,” she added.

Swaddle then continued to talk to the camera about her healthy lifestyle as she prepared a powdered protein drink.

As she continued to talk, a small cockroach crawled out of the kettle and Swadling had no idea it was there.

However, a number of fans were quick to point it out in the comments.

“Not the cockroach on the kettle,” one wrote, while another added, “For me it’s the cockroach from the kettle.”

“Hahaha dead, the cockroach,” said a third follower.

Swadling took it all in good spirits, answering in the comments, “Bruh, this is my life right now. Bugs all over the s**t. I can not do it.’

Documents leaked online in February showed the YouTuber was in financial trouble, even as she projects a lavish lifestyle on social media.

Swadling’s bankruptcy filing was revealed after an anonymous user on Tattle Life’s gossip forums paid $15 to obtain the relevant papers.

The Instagram model listed her job as an “advertising and marketing professional” in the publicly available document, which was filed Dec. 29.

Her bankruptcy status is “unpaid,” meaning she has yet to repay certain debts.

It also means she cannot borrow from financial institutions again without announcing her bankruptcy.

In the release of the debtor’s petition, outstanding debts were not specified.

There is no minimum amount a person owes to file for bankruptcy.

According to the Australian Financial Securities Authority, a creditor must seek $10,000 or more to put you out of business.
