Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo are revealed as shock buyers of George Clooney’s $14m LA estate

San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey has emerged as the surprise buyer of George Clooney’s Los Angeles estate.

Last week it was reported that the Hollywood A-Lister had sold his Los Angeles estate, previously profiled by DailyMail.com, for $14.5 million.

The 63-year-old filmmaker gave up his six-bedroom Studio City mansion, which once belonged to Stevie Nicks, earlier this month after owning it for nearly 30 years, but the Fryman Canyon home’s new owners were until now remained a mystery until now.

McCaffrey and his former Miss Universe wife Olivia Culpo have been revealed as the buyers who raised the money to take the stunning mansion off Clooney’s hands, according to TMZ.

The star running back and Culpo got married in June in a stunning ceremony at Ocean House in Westerly, Rhode Island and now appear to have settled on their forever home.

The couple started dating in 2019 and he popped the question while on vacation in 2023.

Culpo previously joked that she would “rip her IUD out” on her wedding night because she is ready to start a family with McCaffrey immediately.

And now the high-profile couple appear to have found the perfect property to raise a large family.

The expansive property covers 7,000 m², has a main house and several guest houses, a tennis court and a swimming pool on a 3.1 hectare plot.

According to the publication, Clooney, the longtime Hollywood leading man, has hosted many soirees there over the past 29 years.

After meeting and marrying wife of 10, Amal Clooney, the sprawling home became the “private oasis” where they raised their 7-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, as described by Amal in a 2018 Vogue interview.

According to TMZ, the home is hidden behind trees, which isolates the family.

The longtime couple also owns homes in Italy, France and New York, making for a colorful real estate portfolio.

Culpo and McCaffrey exchanged vows in front of friends and family, including his 49ers teammates, in a dreamy oceanfront chapel just steps from Taylor Swift’s sprawling Watch Hill mansion.

The former pageant queen looked radiant in a Dolce & Gabbana crepe ball gown, which featured a round neck, long sleeves and buttons down the back.

She spoke to Vogue about her decision to wear a full-coverage dress while saying yes to the running back.

“I didn’t want it to convey sex in any way,” Culpo explained.

“I wanted it to feel effortless and like it complemented me and not overwhelmed me. There is so much beauty and simplicity,” she added.

“When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments when he finds me most beautiful, it’s definitely something like this: timeless, covered and elegant.”
