Chrissy Teigen shares ‘comically difficult’ task of raising three small children
Chrissy Teigen joked warmly about the daunting task of raising her three young children: Luna, six, Miles, four, and Esti, two months.
The 37-year-old shares her little bundles of joy with her husband John Legend, with whom she will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this year.
‘Two was difficult. But three is comically difficult because you’re outnumbered and it’s so ridiculous,” she shared with Parents magazine.
“You look around and one is throwing up on himself, the other is doing ninja kicks, and then my girl is being perfect in the corner. Everyone is so different; it’s crazy, but I love it,’ she said after sharing family photos of her.
And at least it’s fun and at least you’re entertained. You are not suffering. It’s like, “Oh my gosh, I can’t believe we did this, it’s so much fun!”

In September 2020, Chrissy revealed that she had suffered the heartbreaking loss of a son she and John named Jackson.
When she went public with her pregnancy with Esti last year, she shared: “On every date I would say to myself, ‘okay, if it’s healthy today I’ll announce it,’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief as I hear a heartbeat and decide.” I’m still too nervous.
In his new interview with Parents, he explained that Miles and Luna were “not nervous” about the latest pregnancy despite the family’s earlier tragedy.
‘It was not something that was not talked about in our house. I have a tattoo of the baby name Jackson and every time they see it, Miles and Luna talk about it,” she said.
It wasn’t something we kept quiet about at home. We are very open about so many things in the house. But during my pregnancy, Miles definitely asked me several times if it could happen again.
John and Chrissy told their children, ‘We hope and pray for the best. We don’t know if it will happen again, but one thing we do know is that we can handle it as a family. We’ve done it once before and we can do it again.
Chrissy recalled, “I think Miles and Luna didn’t feel much other than excitement. They were so excited to have a baby sister. Although Miles, of course, wished we had chosen a boy. But they were so excited to experience it.
The cookbook author noted, “Luna was very young when Miles was born, so she doesn’t exactly remember me being pregnant with Miles. And Miles hadn’t seen me pregnant at all. So it was so exciting for them.

Baby Boy: As parents of three children, Chrissy and John must be especially careful not to let their two oldest children feel neglected by all the attention paid to the baby.
‘The baby is the easy part’: Chrissy divulged that ‘for us, that’s the hardest part of all, is making sure Luna and Miles are taken care of’
Chrissy also said that Miles and Luna had a propensity to “throw everything out” while she waited. ‘They push you to the limit when you’re pregnant. I almost think they were trying to see how you would be after. You get pushed and pushed and pushed, and it almost makes you stronger when the baby is born.
Now that Esti has arrived, her brothers ‘love her!’ Chrissy gushed. ‘Luna and her friends are natural caretakers. I lead a troop with 12 Girl Scouts and there’s nothing like seeing a group of girls gathered around a baby and watching her bathe herself;
She acknowledged: ‘I’m so amazed because I wasn’t around a lot of kids growing up, especially little babies. Luna was really the first baby I held in my arms.
Meanwhile, Miles, according to Chrissy, “is a bull in a china shop.” He is crazy. But when it comes to Esti, he is a love bug and he loves her very much. He gives her the biggest kisses of hers. Sometimes we have to say, “Miles, that’s too hard a kiss.” It’s so cute and it’s really special. You can see that the future bond of him will be so amazing.’
As parents of three children, Chrissy and John have to be especially careful not to let their two oldest children feel neglected given all the attention paid to the baby.
Chrissy divulged that ‘for us, that’s the hardest part of all, is making sure Luna and Miles are taken care of. The baby is the easy part, it’s about making sure Luna and Miles feel special and that they’re not forgotten in any way, that’s really important to us.
Every child should get some personal attention because they start to feel when you are trying to match things up. If we’re like, “Hey, we’re all going to read a story together tonight,” they’re like, “Uh huh, we don’t want to do that!” They give you ass. So you really have to give them their individual time.’
According to Chrissy: ‘We go to all of Luna’s recitals and dance practices, we make sure to volunteer in her class any chance we get. All children are like that, but Luna especially remembers things like that. She clings to whether we were there at a certain moment that she considered essential or important.
‘Blossoming’: Meanwhile, Esti, the baby of the family, ‘gets so much love all the time from everyone and everyone who is always in the house’
In Town: Miles and Luna are old enough to be aware of their parents’ celebrity to the point that they “Know, like, photographers…”.
Meanwhile, Luna “will give it to us if we weren’t there for a work trip or something. My God, she won’t let you forget you missed it,” Chrissy said.
while talking to Extra Recently, he said, ‘I’ve got the iPad now,’ as he was faced with the task of keeping three young children entertained.
My excuse is that Miles is a genius dinosaur. Thanks to the iPad, he can recite every name, every everything. Luna is, like, designing clothes. So she’s not, she’s not all bad.
Miles and Luna are old enough to be aware of their parents’ celebrity to the point that “you know, photographers and stuff like that, they’ll say, ‘My friend said he saw you on The Voice last night.'”
Hearing Chrissy say it: ‘They get it, but not really. And we’re still not, you know, you’ll never be cool with them anyway,” she joked.
Meanwhile, Esti, the baby of the family, ‘gets so much love all the time from everyone and everyone who is always in the house. She’s like…blossoming.’
Chrissy is navigating a return to public life and trying to move on from her cyber bullying scandal, in which she was accused of telling then-teenage Courtney Stodden to kill herself in a private message.
Behind the scenes, she most recently executive produced the HBO Max documentary miniseries The Way Down, which details the abuse allegations against the late founder of a Christian diet program.
